Here's one of many major news paper articles to come USA TODAY . I bet this will be in the news for a couple of days a least. I'm so glad I never sunk low enough to buy a HDUD (now the correct term since it is officially dead) and stayed with Blu all the way.

Happy days!!!

GO BLU!

Now all we need to do is wait for Transformers BD and we will be laughing!!!

Default How many HD DVD players sold?

I thought this was very interesting Q&A in the Toshiba press conference (taken from engadget.com):

Q: How many HD DVD players and recorders, exactly, did you sell?
A: 600,000 players in the US -- 300,000 of which were Xbox 360 HD DVD drives. 100,000 units were sold in Europe. And about 10,000 players and 20,000 recorders in Japan. So about 730,000 units worldwide.

WTF??? So where did "1 million customers" come from if they didn't even sell a million units? I know that there were some rebadged players sold that could be counted separately, but not 300,000 of them.

Comments?
