It's because of Will Smith, not the movie itself, in my opinion.

Agreed. Not that it's that terrible, I just wouldn't rate it that high (+$150 million high)

How in the world do they have sales numbers posted already including the 13th when (in Colorado) we're only 2 hours into the business day on Sunday and I just got back from the movie.

They take the Friday estimates and the Saturday estimates and with those numbers they estimate the entire weekend and release those numbers. By THEY I refer to the studios. Each studio is responsible for estimating their own film. They get these estimates from talking to the theater chains. The most I've ever seen it off is just over $2 million. The 'official' updated numbers are released Monday afternoon.

Let me know if I didn't answer your question, or if I brought on more.

I actually have to give props to the currently and forever "Banned" PS3Player for correctly predicting that Meet Dace would FLOP.

I watched Hellboy II last night and and IMHO first one was a lot better. CGI was very good, but other than that there's nothing interesting in this movie. Most of the times it's simply slow or boring. All that singing... Soundtrack was a failure to me. Very disappointing.

I have to strongly disagree. Thought this was a lot better than the first one and I LOVED the first one. The action was amazing! the fight scenes flowed a lot smoother and naturally than they did in the first movie and plain kicked ass.

The interaction between all the characters was also more natural. I thought they seemed more like a family. the jokes were better, the special effects were off the chart gorgeous. the world and the creature characters and the dwellings that Guillermo created just blew my mind.

and for the 'all that singing' quote. seriously, it was maybe a 2 minute segment and IMO it was pretty hilarious. I can;t wait to see this again.

The ending was a bit predictable as well. I mean, they weren't exactly subtle about telegraphing what was going to be the solution to the problem (Wanted also suffered from this as well). Wished they would have mixed it up a bit and made Abe or at least Hellboy do it.

Then there was Liz's final act to save the day which made me wonder why they just didn't have her do that a lot earlier in the movie.
how could she have done it earlier?? she didn't have any access to 'it' until the very end? just wondering.

Thank you that does make much more sense. So the numbers Yahoo Movies typically post Sunday night or Monday morning sound like they are they actual numbers; all these other sites just try and accurately guess. Got it!

If you see any numbers anywhere before Monday afternoon then they are just the Studio estimates. Even the local news (and Yahoo) use the studio estimates monday morning in their reporting.
