if it came out on HD-DVD, I would go out and buy a HD-DVD player from Fry's and then pick it up, I want this movie in HD that bad!

I wouldn't get too hyped about this release...at least any time soon.

I was watching Casino Royale the other day and that was released nearly two years ago. The blu-ray ad at the beginning showed scenes from Bad Boys 2 and Once Upon a Time in Mexico. It even said at the end of the ad that those movies would be "coming soon" to blu-ray. Many of you have seen this ad. Well, where are the movies?

I don't know what the studios consider to be "comming soon" but nearly two years it is not.

All I'm saying is that I wouldn't hold my breath. I prefer to be pessimistic and pleasantly surprised and I am not optimistic about those movies (Star Wars or Jurassic Park) being released any time soon.

I got through multiple copies of JURASSIC PARK on VHS. Not sure if they were just flimsy tapes or if I watched it too many times. Probably a combination of both!

Not really expecting these films on Blu-ray any time soon, but I'll certainly be one of those placing a pre-order when they are.

Was in Target yesterday and saw the 3 disc "set" if you want to call it that, sitting on the shelves. It was basically a cover made out of heavy grade paper flip folded to make a "case" that folds up and holds 3 dvds. Talk about cheap. Doubt it would last very long. Even the shrink wrap over it was crushing down the corners.

I have the same set, however mine is made out of durable cardboard covered in artwork and it's not a flip fold. It opens like a set of double doors and the dvds pop out.

Anyways, would be nice to have them on blu. Not sure that is going to happen anytime soon though.

Have that same one, and love it. Love those movies. Used to terrify me as a kid, but I could watch those all the time. DTS! Whooo!

What! 3 was the worst one, 2 is way better than 3. the story, the characters, everything.

I re-watched my DVD because of this thread, and because it was coming on TNT or USA or whatever network.... anyways.... I forgot this movie was so fun...... I'd probably pick it up on Blu-ray when it hits one of the big sales.... (can you believe Top Gun is $12 right now... )

was it released in 93 or 94?

If it was 94 then next year is the 15th anniversary. I know I'd watch a brand new doc in HD with some interviews with Spielberg and some of the fx people from the film. or even just talk about how it affected the industry.

Obviously it was not cleaned up, but it still looks FANTASTIC! As it is my favorite movie of all time, Spielberg better get to releasing it! Just thought I'd let you all know!
Can you state the title of the special feature please? There are quite a few documentaries

So either I'm completely retarded, or I have a different disc 2, because there are no features on mine even close to 30 minutes long.
