I hate vets! - Page 4 - Blu-ray Forum

You guys may be good vets, I don't know - I know that every vet I have been to has been the same.

Maybe its a Philly thing...I don't know - but I speak on my experiences through dealing with vets for 25 years now. I have found a vet that I like but I still think they overcharge BUT before you ciritcize me further my choices local to me are the vet 5 miles down the road that I feel is a bit expensive or the VCA clinics...
I'm done with this thread...

Here is an update if anyone is following along..

All was well and everything was looking great. Yesterday morning I let him out to do his bathroom deeds. After calling in the other dogs, I noticed he was not coming. So I go outside and see him standing at the bottom of the hill, licking the ground. I yell at him to come in. He stands there. I go down and as I get close, I see a huge blotch of red on his side and fear the worse. As I get there, I see blood pouring out of his side. Literally. No joke. I look, no open holes or anything.

I quickly run inside and grab a dress shirt (only thing I could find) and wrap it tight around him to help contain/stop the bleeding. I call him to the vet and they say bring him in. This is all in a span of 5 minutes. I get him in the car, blood is now all over the back seat. Looks like someone was murdered.

Finally at the vet - they look at him and tell me a couple of stitches came loose. I was relieved. I guess. They clean him up and put some staples in him. A LOT of staples. They tell me that should do it (god I hope so). They also inform me that his incision smelled a little and that the tumor they removed also smelled and that there was a small chance the wound would not heal fully. Again, they said SMALL. I hope all goes ok.

He is on 2 antibiotics, hip medicine and pain meds. He is now no longer allowed on steps or is allowed free roam outside - he will be on a leash.

You might be. Your dog, on the other hand, sounds like he's not having it so good.
