yeah they will usually teams are pretty good after a ship win back in their stadium playing for their fans... Chipper had that great leadoff single I love how he hits lol.

It seems like common sense that you would avoid home games in cities in the midwest/northeast/northwest in early April but this happens every year. I suppose teams would complain if they had to start on the road every year.

No one ever accused MLB of being run by geniuses. It happens every single year. I realize the bigger media markets are mostly in colder weather cities but the start of the season will still get plenty of publicity if the games all started in warmer locales or in domes.

One hour till the Mariners take on the Twins. I'm hoping that Hernandez can come out and dominate. No Ichiro though, and that's a bummer. Also looking forward to seeing Griffey out there. Play ball!!!

They couldnt use the dome in tampa because i guess they were using it as a staging area for the indy race sunday.

C.C. got roughed up pretty good for 6 runs and couldnt spot a thing, he starts slow though so it will be intresting to see the reaction tommorow on wfan.

Not impressed with the crowd throwing stuff on the field and the Tiger's leaving the field though. As they say, a few bad apples spoil the whole bunch!

Sorry... just came back to this thread! I can understand the confusion.

I was born and raised in New York (Levittown on Long Island), and was a die-hard Mets fan. Was fortunate enough to be at some of the playoff games, and Games 1 and 6 of the World Series in 1986 (poor Buckner). So, the NY Mets are my first and favorite baseball team.

I now live in the Tampa Bay Area in Florida, and we have the Rays. It was difficult to take to them, but began becoming a fan about 3 seasons ago. Once Joe Madden came in, I was sold.

They threw paper airplanes and golf balls at Magglio, baseballs at Granderson and baseballs and even AA size batteries at Anderson. Not to mention all of the garbage but someone could have got seriously hurt.

But how bout those O's!!! rocking CC lol I know I know we probly have worse relief pitching then the mets last year and not the same offense so its going to be a LONG year

but at least we got one win and are making yanks fans a little itchy seeing Tex and CC laying eggs

lol same with me and the sox, about 9 years ago a close friend of our family was in their farm system, and my buddy got a call from them last year to be picked in the 2nd round of the draft but he chose college cause the signing bonus was only like 500k
