The German set will do me to be honest. I cant see it looking a whole lot better. A deluxe set with extras might be tempting though.

I disagree on it being the best version with that video glitch in the extended cut.

I have it, it's Region B, but works with the top menu trick if you have a Panasonic.

HD, granted the glitch is there, but for maybe a second or 2, it really is a blink and you miss it type of thing and the quality of the extended cut is remarkable.

What is the audio on that extended cut? Isn't it DD 2.0?

I'd have to boot up the disc when I'm home to confirm, but I want to say the extended version is also DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 as I remember being surprised by the audio as much as the video quality.

I just checked and it has English and German DTS-HD MA 5.1 tracks.

It's almost sad to think of any Dune fan passing on this disc due to the two second glitch.

Hi Goof. Honestly, this one is cheap anyway and there doesnt seem to be any other version forthcoming so you might as well give in!

Its easily good enough for me - Im amazed its as good as it is really despite the glitch.

They did a superb job editing it. The 2-second glitch in the 3-hour version aside,
IMO it's the best Blu-Ray of the film available by far.
