As physical movies decline, I’m buying less from Target.

Whether I’m buying media, clothes, food, medicine etc I buy from
Walmart Brick and Mortar. The best clearance items are IN STORE only. My last score was the big Sterlite containers for $1.50. I bought 6, reg price $6.98.

Walmart+ member and I get Paramount+
Amazon Prime member.
That’s 90%

eBay 5%
misc incl Target 5%

Not much from Target these days.
Walmart Clearance is amazing, right time, right place, right price, the yellow tag
Sometimes items are not even tagged, so you have to scan the barcode for price if the item is in the clearance area/rack

The lack of physical media, the decision to stop price matching, and the decline of circle deals have led to me rarely shopping at Target these days. Those three things were the draw for me.

For physical media I know check deals at Deep Discount, Gruv, and eBay primarily.

For everything else I have moved to Walmart and Aldi. I feel liked Prime is overpriced.

I am not sure if I will even buy any movies online at their next sale. I think the other avenues will still be cheaper even after the discount.

September Circle 360 Freebies:

- $10 off Boots & Barkley, or
- free Good & Gather coffee item, or
- $10 off Open Story luggage

I might go for the $10 off Open Story luggage.

That's a rather disingenuous post when you omit a most critical component of your motivation, the fact that as you've already attested, you place greater faith in and value on digital distribution models than genuinely collectible media. Obviously, price is your biggest motivator, and walmart has always been a little cheaper than target for most everyday items. And as you can probably find unreliable digital alternatives for less and with more predictable/frequent sales at the moment, as Hollywood has historically offered greater discounts and other incentives on the version, they most wanted people to buy/adopt, one would assume your interest in tangible movies has decreased accordingly, since you seem to be in denial as to what giving Hollywood it's cake is intended to lead to. There's neither conspiracy nor theory to it.

You didn't mention anything about a return, but if you returned an item from your $70+ order and the total dipped below $70, the rewards would be removed.

I have more physical movies than digital.

I just missed out on Mr. Lucky for $10. I did buy the previous Warner Archive DVD-r. If the digital goes down to $4.99 I'll buy it since Warner Archive does not come with digital. I'm also seriously thinking of just buying Mr. Lucky because $16 is still a decent price.

Lili Warner Archive is coming tomorrow. Decent price for $13.50. Warner Archive prices have not been as great as when we had the 4 for $44. Under $15 I'd probably pull the trigger for a title I want.

The Keep digital I bought for $4.99 and then bought the 4K when it was discounted to $24.99.

Daryl same thing, bought both digital and 4K at separate times.

Yes I love a GOOD DEAL. I mean this is the forum for deals right?

I have 1469 digital movies on Vudu and 71 TV shows, some not complete just episodes I liked.

Probably the same amount of moives on itunes and less TV shows since I redeemed most of the Warner Bros shows on Vudu because they required it.

I've never counted but I think I have anywhere from 5000 or more blurays, maybe 1500 plus 4K. I kept a lot of DVDs too.

More than 10,000 CDs.

I sold off 3500 vinyl albums five years ago but have been buying again! Crazy but probably 1500 records at this point. I can't resist the $5 vinyl deals at Barnes and Noble and their 75% off vinyl box sets on clearance. I mean when you can get the Half Speed Master of Tommy for $5 or the Wings Wild Life vinyl reissue with bonus second album for $5 hard to resist at least for a bargain hunter like me. The third through seventh John Prine releases on Atlantic/Asylum that were reissued on vinyl, $5 each. $150 in $5 vinyl albums from BnN this past July when I heard about the clearance.

So yeah, sometimes looking for a particular movie in over 100 boxes can be a b!tch so I'll just go digital.

Since I have Paramount+ and Amazon Prime I will even put up with commercials.

I have no problem with Digital, the ownership issues with it, the fine print.

But I will always try to get a physical movie if possible.

I just watched on Amazon a movie called No One Lives. Man it was psychotic and I loved it...so I just bought the bluray on Amazon. I liked it enough that if I see the digital go for $5, I'd buy it.

EDIT Sept 2: I am not going to pass up the Complete Last Man Standing series DIGITAL for $7.99 on Vudu. DIGITAL does have its advantages! Thank you exharrison for posting this deal.

Also more physical Blu-ray to add to my PHYSICAL TV bluray collection, Bewitched Complete $50. Even with the problems, which I can live with, great deal. Those on the fence, odds are it could go as low as $35! But I no longer wanted to take that chance.

Target should probably have another B2G1 sale before the end of the year, right?

I'm sure they will but at this point I'm hoping Amazon will just price match.

The consensus right now is at least one more BOGO 50% and one more B2G1 (possibly the “Black Friday sale”) if the pattern from recent years is anything to go by.

The only thing that happened was one of the movies I ordered was damaged so I got a replacement for it. I remember checking my account soon after getting the replacement and the $10 reward was still there.

Returned a movie to Target because during my B2G1 spending spree, I bought a movie that I already owned. It was a preorder which threw me off because it was only a wide-release preorder and I had already purchased it back when it was a store-exclusive.

Also cleared my spending threshold to get Circle 360 for a year for free. Does it give you any extra benefits? I'm not going to use it for same-day shipping when the store is 8 minutes away.

I got a free membership from one of the previous offers. I haven't used it for the same day delivery yet since you have to tip the driver but it could come in handy in an emergency (like if you get sick and need groceries/medicine and can't go to the store). They do give you a monthly freebie which I have been taking advantage of. Nothing spectacular, usually a few dollars off or a free Target store brand item but it was free so no complaints. Like I got a free laundry hamper with the August coupon and a free bag of coffee with this month's offer. Just make sure to turn off auto-renew as they are banking on you forgetting about it.

I took this month's free coffee offer. The website says out of stock for both shipping and in-store, but when I went to the store they had a lot.

Also, it's kind of funny that I had a spend $199 get one year of Circle 360 free when they're also offering me Circle 360 free for nothing at the same time.

For me, Circle certainly wasn't free in that I had to spend a significant amount of money (I think it was $400 or $500]) in a week or two and then I became eligible to have it for a year.

I pre-ordered the Tron steelbooks at Target earlier this morning, but they were glitching and charged me $6 for shipping even though the order was over the $35 threshold for free shipping.

Assuming my Target order actually ships, would I be able to get a price adjustment/refund for the $6 shipping cost after the order arrives?

Was anyone able to do this with one of their recent orders after receiving it?

I want to contact customer support and get the shipping charge refunded, but at the same time I am concerned that they might mess up the order and cancel it, so I want to wait it out.
