As Hive, possibly. Just because he has that attack that kills you instantly I guess.

What Ward lacks in supervillain power he makes up for in his sinister and calculating persona. He's a good manipulator and could take on Spider-Man and Captain America if the odds were stacked in his favour.

Also: I think he could probably steal some SHIELD and/or Stark technology to aid other MCU villains.

Nah.

I would love to see him go against Spider-Man who can swing around like crazy, web Ward up in no time and also there's the fact that Spidey has his spider sense that helps him out big time.

Ward wouldn't stand a chance on his own.

What if he infiltrated SHIELD again and stole technology that can be used to bring Spider-Man down? Coulson might have some given his fan status towards superheroes.

Even if they someday give in and put some TV stuff into the movies it will be a quick cameo or even just a background image, it won't be a big role like a villain.

Fans don't posses tech that's designed to take down a superhero. That's just silly. Especially Coulson. He collects baseball cards. Not weapons to hurt heroes.

With all the negativitiy towards DC films, DC still leads with having more intriguing movie villains: Ra's Al ghul, Scarecrow, Joker, Two Face, Bane, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Enchantress, Lex luthor, Zod, Faora.

what has marvel had? Loki, Winter Soldier and Crossbones.
