I've always loved the Jurassic Park franchise, even The Lost World and Jurassic Park III, but at first I wasn't all that excited for Jurassic World 2. But now that I know that both Goldblum and the Dilophosaurus are coming back, I'm pumped for this movie!

Yeah, Trevorrow has said they're moving away from the island setting for this one.

As for how/why Malcolm gets involved, we'll just have to wait and see. I can believe at least one of the original gang wanting to take action because they feel it's the right/responsible thing to do though, depending on what's going on. He's also had 20 years to digest his experiences and who knows where his head is at now, plus he's got to have opinions on everything concerning the new park and InGen being back at it again.

All that aside, it's not like JW was the kind of film overly concerned with realism and logic anyway, so I'm just glad to have Ian Malcolm back! Looking forward to another adventure.

I can't imagine they'd bring him back to play another character when it's in the same continuity. That would just be odd, and they've got to know it'd be controversial since Malcolm is a huge fan favorite.

He's overdue for another appearance anyway since he's only been in 2 of the 4 films so far.

How is it even possible they would be bringing him back to play another character? That would be like after announcing Harrison Ford was returning for The Force Awakens, they then suddenly announce its for a new character.
