Mondo is always first to list and then Tyler does. Remember Mondo's are only numbered, Tyler's are signed and numbered. The earlier than 9am PST drop this morning threw a ton of people off.

Yup, threw me off, I was in the shower! Gah!

Crossing my fingers to get lucky with what's more than likely going to be one of the most expensive Mondo's yet (on the aftermarket).

I agree, prices on ebay are already out of this world... I want to buy one of these, frame it and enjoy it quite literally forever, others buy it, never look at it and flip it. I certainly understand the economics of the situation, so I try really hard not to blame the people making a buck, but it is quite frustrating at the same.

If anything, I wish Mondo would charge more for these to help chase off the speculators, I would much rather pay Mondo, 2x, 3x, 4x what they are charging knowing more of that money would be going back to Stout or Alamo rather than into the pockets of a bunch of randoms.

End rant

I missed out on Kill Bill as well, but pretty much figured I would as I was trying on my iphone. Got a regular in the cart and it stalled at the calculating shipping page.

I must have both the regular and the variant on my walls though, so hopefully I can find a decent enough deal of them, or work out a trade for some other Stouts that I don't value as highly as these.

I was wondering where you guys get your movie poster frames from? I just got in a few movie posters from John (Thanks again John), and I was wondering what is the best place to get them. I have a 60% off custom frames coupon for Michaels. Would that be my best bet?

Well, don't know about your area, but here Michaels is a rip off - even with the 60% off coupons.

I go to a small mah and pah framing and poster store here, I get them custom framed with matte's for under 140$. Michaels without the matte and 60% off were closer to 225$. Not to mention you get much better work done at the small businesses.

Nice posters and framing Asylump! I'd like to see that Taylor T2 poster framed. Do that one next please, thanks.

Kill Bill will slowly come down in price, and then the supply will start to dry up, and then prices will rise. All of the Mondo prints get up on eBay right after they sell out, people go crazy and buy them up that have to have them, while others simply wait it out. Sure, there is no doubt many of them will increase in value, the Stout ones will certainly as well, and rightfully so as everyone seems to want one, which is why they always have the highest amount printed, and they still sell out in seconds, but I honestly don't feel the Kill Bill ones will be the most expensive on the aftermarket. The earlier days of the Mondo ones even going back to 2008 with regards to Stout were very limited. Look at the one for "The Thing" which only about 200 were made, those easily command $1200-$1500 and will continue to appreciate because there simply are very few people willing to let that go from their collection. Of all the Mondo prints, that one in particular is one I want but it's too far out of my price range, and will continue to get further away. Kill Bill is quite popular, and it's a beautiful print, and someday it may well be over $1000 but it will take longer to get there, if it ever does, than The Thing, or the Big Lebowski, or Big Trouble in Little China ones did.

You're welcome, and for all of you getting ready to frame, I have said this before, and I will say it again.....do NOT have your prints/posters dry-mounted. If you are taking prints in such as the Mondo ones, you want the framer to understand first and foremost that it is a collectible, as many assume its just a print or poster, so you have to first make it clear that it is valuable and collectible, so you don't want it dry-mounted to foam board. If you foam board something, you have altered it, and the value is zero. Just have it loose between the acid-free backing of the frame, and the glass (or plexi-glass if you choose). A good framer will understand how to do it right.

I read that glass can trap moisture and if the glass breaks your poster is pretty much screwed. What I read recommended the plexi-glass, is that true?

I guess it really depends on the climate where you live. All of my stuff that I have framed is with UV glass, but I live in a cooler environment (Seattle) so it doesn't get that hot here, rarely do we have 80+ degree days. Some prefer glass, others I have spoken to prefer plexi-glass. Also whenever you hang an original movie poster or anything large like that which is framed, always use two hooks in the wall behind the item, and not one. It helps with stability, sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry.

In all of my years of having framed posters up, I have never had any fall down. I have punched one and went through the glass but that was because I was having a really bad nightmare.

lol, I've punched a cell phone while my morning alarm was going off, but never a poster. Hopefully you didn't hurt yourself!

We get pretty warm days here in the summer, but the humidity is so low, never have had a problem with paper getting soggy. Keeping my cigars in high humidity is a pain in the butt though!

Actually I didn't feel it. I was having a nightmare my girlfriend at the time was trapped in a cabin in the woods and I was punching the door to get her out. In reality I was punching holes throughout my walls in my room, one punch managed to go through my autographed U2 promotional poster. I was extremely exhausted that day and hadn't slept much. When I finally came through, my room looked like Beirut, 7 large holes through the Sheetrock and glass everywhere. Minimal blood too, wish I had saved the photos I took. LOL!

I guess that was a real HP poster that came out. For some reason I did not want to believe it. Still waiting to see what Green Lantern looks like.

Yeah, this happened about 13 years ago by the way, long before Inception was a thought in Nolan's mind, not sure how deep I was, but it was quite vivid, and of course...costly.
