Not really.

I rarely watch a movie in the theater anymore, but Kate has a way of getting me into the theater. I may go see this next weekend if I don't work late. Either way, I really want to see this one way or the other.

I may actually make it for opening night for this one

I've been seeing a lot of movies during the week lately since it is half price here, but I may be willing to pay full price for this one (still assuming my theater gets it).

I won't know for until probably Friday if my theater is going to be showing it.

It's gonna suck if they aren't

This movie doesn't interest me. Why? Kate shouldn't be in a cold weather environment where she has to wear coats and other cold weather protective clothing.

She belongs on the beach, in a bikini.

There's a shower scene.

Though it probably lasts like 10 seconds.

At least they thought of you though right?

The fact that you know that makes me wonder about you. I could care less, Beckinsale is stunning no matter what she wears and this movie should be in the running for a lot of awards.

Lol. I love her in things like the tight black leather from Underworld, but she's gorgeous even fully clothed. Maybe they'll take your advice for her next movie.

I just realized how close this is; I guess I'll be seeing two movies next week (9 being the other). If I have to push one off, I don't think I can decide

Joel Silver knows a thing or two about making movies. The producer of such successful franchises as Die Hard, Predator, Lethal Weapon, and The Matrix series, Silver tries to stay ahead of the game by keeping up with the latest technology. Silver's latest production, Whiteout, based on the comic book series by Greg Rucka, utilized digital 3-D technology to make the harsh Antarctic weather come to life, a vast improvement over chasing storm systems around the globe, he told Straight.com.

Quote:
I don't think that this film would have been possible without the computer-graphics work we do today. The fact that in the middle of these terrible storms you can actually see the people and not see anything else is all due to the technology today. I made Die Hard 2 20 years ago, and you had to have snow and it was difficult to do. We were chasing snow around the world, and it was a complicated way of making a picture. In this one, we did have some harsh environments [to shoot in], but a lot of it was created in a way that you could believe what you were seeing. You believed you were watching these characters living in this environment, which, I think, is what makes the film original and unique.
Whiteout isn't the only comic book movie adaptation on Silver's plate. He also has plans to make a movie based on the DC Comics classic Swamp Thing, and feels that high-tech might be the perfect thing for this "green" anti-hero.
Quote:
Our company [Dark Castle Entertainment] is currently working on developing a remake of Swamp Thing ... and we think [3-D] might work. There are a couple of things that would work for us, but not everything.
Whiteout is directed by Dominic Sena and stars Kate Beckinsale as U.S. Marshal Carrie Stetko, Gabriel Macht as Robert Pryce, and Tom Skerritt as Dr. John Fury.

"But it's an easy fix. One line of dialogue. 'Thank God we invented the..." skin tight super-thermal suit.

My friends and I are having a double feature on the 14th (Monday) since they are both relatively short

I was like, huh? Why is having short friends a reason to see a double feature?

Then the (dim) lighbulb came on.

Well with short friends and the proper application of a disguise, they can get in for the kiddie rate. This is probably my last must-see movie of the year.
