I watched this on HD-DVD last night. I have to say it looked pretty good. I can only hope they take full advantage of blu-ray when they release this, because it will be amazing if they do. I really hope it comes out soon on blu.

Now, when the interactive tools and stuff get finalized and player support rolls out. I think we'll see Warner shift to embrace the 'IME' potential and the money generation from bd, both at the same time.

Warner Bros arent following the white rabbit. They clearly dont know how deep the rabbit whole goes. They're still stuck in the dream world. they can be told what BLU Ray is they have to see it for themselves. If they read these forums we could free their minds. lol

The Matrix is rapidly moving up my list to be right next to Star Wars when it comes to - WHO GIVES A FLYING SQUIRREL when it comes out.

The Matrix sucked after the first movie. I am sorry to all the matrix fans, but it did. It when to hell in a hand bag.

Cool Color me still amazed...

Since they came out, I'm still amazed at how many people have missed out on the messages entwined in the movies (Reloaded&Revolutions - really 1 movie if you want to get technical).

It can truly be summed up in the phrases "Free your mind" and "Everything old is new again".

Don't get me wrong, I was happy so many people were able to follow the computer-based environment of the Matrix (Unlike the way people just "didn't get" Blade Runner back in the day , techno-futuristic as it was). But it seemed most people didn't like Reloaded because of the heavy dose of Messiah philosophy. Too esoteric, too mental. Then didn't like Revolutions because they were confused by the ending - upset because they believed that more Matrix movies were going to be made with Keanu Reeves.

For those folks that just didn't "get it" the only thing that may have saved these movies was the action. Even then, you still can't please everybody.

But, in attempt to please everybody, let's release G.I. Jane, Norbit, and Basic Instinct 2 before movies like Apocolypse Now, the Matricies, and Star Wars!!! Yeah, that sounds like a good idea (yeah, I'm still grousing about a lack of my favorites! Haven't bought a new BD in nearly four months!!! Waiting on 5th Element, Blade Runner, Kill Bill, and about a zillion others!!!)

warner said by the end of 2007 making an excuse that they'll wait for BD-J to get PiP so that we can see keanu reeves flying "with cables" on the green screen as well as without it

upscaling and true 1080p are two completely different animals... upscaling uses a mathmatical algorithm to "guess" and fill in the missing lines of resolution...sure it will look somewhat nicer, but when you have true 1080p with all the lines of resolution already there, you'll definately see a difference. upscaled 1080p looks fuzzy/smooth compared to the real deal

It will be coming out at some point in time on Blu-Ray. I think they are waiting for PiP for BD.

Welcome to the forums, there are many threads on this, just use the search function. It will be coming to Blu ray within the next year so no worries, warner announed V for Vendetta so I'm sure the rest will follow soon enough.

Talking Here is the thing...

If Warner would have released the matrix series along side the hd-dvd set, blu-ray would have blown hd-dvd out the water that day. Lets take a quick look back, on that day blu-ray had both POTC movies released. If that would have happened this war would be over by now, but because they didn't we have to sit and wait longer for this silly war to end....we need to bring out the nuke and end this now...oh wait, christmas rigt around the corner...lets see what we have coming.......first off FOX is going to hit us with a TON of movies(hopefully die hard series, simpsons movie, independence day,I robot, etc etc), spiderman series, harry potter collection, POTC at worlds end, transformers, the matrix and this list can be sooo much longer since many movies havent been given a release date yet. ALL these movies will out sell hd-dvd if they are on both just like 300 has and the exclusives will sell as they have soo far. This war is over come the end of the year!!!!!!

1- Toshiba definately paid to have that release done

2- The war can't end till the contracts requiring WB/Paramount/Uni to release discs expire, supposedly before next May
