The sad part is that for a game trying to be different, the 3.5 on IGN dropped the overall Metacritic 6pts it seems (used to be a 70, now 64).

Oh well, it's only a review I guess.

I read a review last night (think it was IGN) that was rather....unkind. This game doesn't sound like my cup of tea, hopefully others will get a kick out of it, though.

i imported the game from playasia.com a few weeks ago, i enjoy it.
my wife, who very much likes the flow and flower games, spends hours on it.

there are no points, no trophies (in korean version), no time limits. the goal is to take magazine requests for particular photos (ie. hippo yawning) and sell your best shot back to them. use your prize money for more/better equipment.
i'd call the game a role-playing strategy adventure. i give it 7/10.

if you like shooters, then this game isn't for you, there is no hunting.
if you are a mouthbreather, then this game isn't for you, you believe no points = pointless.
if you have ADHD, then this game isn't for you, it requires patience.

AFRIKA is the most underrated game of the PS3 collection

Here is my copy! Japanese version!

I just read the IGN review, and even though parts of it seemed harsh, it seemed pretty fair.

As boring as it sounds, I agree with whoever did the review, in wishing that the game allowed you to just wander around and wait to get the perfect shot... even if that takes forever. Instead it seems to automatically take you to the right area, and then the animals are pretty much doing the pose they need to do.

Some of the reviewer's other complaints (no voice acting, slow saving times, crappy physics on the Jeep) don't really matter to me.

I'll still add it to my GameFly Q.

I'm, personally, really interested in this game because it's something beyond a button-masher or a shooter.

Question: Afrika is out in the US... US trophies are live. Do the JPN or Korean games have trophies now?
if no one knows this does anyone have the US trophy list?
