If that is accurate, the week after would have been a better choice since there are no major releases currently announced for the 20th yet.

My mistake, I forgot play.com don't ship to USA. but there are a few people I have been in contact with that are able to get this and shipped to USA. I'm not a middle man to them so if they wanna maje themselves known it's up to them not me but I publicly thank them....great people here! Cheers

I can't believe its coming out everywhere now!!! The closest Costco is an hour away and I don't have a membership ... This December, Fox Home Entertainment will bring Rise of the Planet of the Apes to Blu-ray. The Planet of the Apes prequel focuses on how the relationship between neuroscientist Will Rodman (James Franco, 127 Hours) and genetically-enhanced chimpanzee Caesar (Andy Serkis, King Kong) leads to a global primate revolution.

In addition to Franco and Serkis, Rise of the Planet of the Apes co-stars John Lithgow (Blow Out), Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire), Tom Felton (Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince), and Brian Cox (The Bourne Supremacy).

Directed by Rupert Wyatt (The Escapist), the picture overcame early negative buzz to become one of last summer's sleeper hits, drawing strong commercial and critical support; a large part of that praise is directly attributable to Weta Digital (The Lord of the Rings, Avatar), the Academy Award-winning special effects team that spearheaded the extensive CGI trickery behind Caesar and his army of ape warriors.

It seems like it is. While it not the way I would have liked the cover to be, with the apes face taking up almost the entire cover, I'm just glad it has been given a release date. Day one purchase for me.
