I rarely watch special features (outside of the gag reel) but just knowing they are there for me to watch is comforting.

I'm wondering if it's good or not, too! I've seen some not so good reviews on youtube, but it seems that some reviewers would automatically bash a movie by Michael Bay just to please their audience

The film is a even more deranged cousin to Bad Boys II. What makes it even more disturbing is the fact that the majority of the stuff you see in this film (especially the outlandish stuff) was actually true. Like most bio pictures, Bay fudges things here and there and combines a few characters from the actual true story into one character. But, on the whole, the broad strokes of the film are completely accurate.

The real reason to buy this film and add it to your collection is the Rock. It is, without a doubt, his single greatest performance as an actor. He may have years and years to entertain us as an actor but there's a good possibility that this is the Rock's magnum opus for a performance, and he'll never be as good as he was here. Just flat out Academy Award level performance in this picture. He won't get nominated but this performance is the best one I've seen from anyone, actor or actress, this year.

I'd say it's pretty good. Since you seem to hate that look so much, it might comfort you to know that the characters that it fits don't come off as very bright.

The moment involves Dwayne Johnson's character, who doesn't actually exist because he is a composite of a few people, doing something that probably didn't happen). Just think of it as fiction inspired by a true story, that pretends it's closer to the truth to get you more involved.

To sum up my long-winded statement: definitely see it, but go in with the right expectations.

Actually, that part with the Rock really did happen. But yes, his character is a composite of a two or three people.
