This should be in the Wish List forum until they are officially announced.

Shot on film through the original run, digital for LAD.

Just finished watching the entire series for the first time on Amazon streaming. What a crazy, fun and incredible ride! I think with the renewed interest in 24 with LAD the time for a "complete" Blu-ray release is ripe. Studios love tie-ins. Strike while the iron is hot!

Hopefully that Blu Ray set is true. I just recently bought 7 and 8 on Blu Ray but they were so cheap from Fox Connect that I would gladly still purchase this set.

I'd like to watch the entire show again from start to finish, but on Blu-ray this time and before watching Live Another Day. Call me crazy, but I'm tempted to cancel my pre-order of Live Another Day and just boycott any new 24 offerings until seasons 1-6 are released on Blu-ray. Someone has to make a stand.

Don't get too excited. Fox seems to be pulling out of the TV on BD game. The new seasons of Bones, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Modern Family have only been announced for DVD.

True, but the latest seasons of 24 and Sleepy Hollow have been announced for DVD and Blu-ray (and I'm sure American Horror Story: Coven will be announced for Blu-ray as well). Bones, Sunny and Modern Family might not have sold well enough on Blu-ray to warrant future Blu-ray releases.

Then they just better get out of the TV on DVD game… Modern Family (Season 4) only sold 17,500 DVD copies it's first week… (They sold less than 2,000 BD units…)

Bones (Season 8) sold 30,700 DVD copies it's first week… (5%… 1,500 BD units)

It's Always Sunny (Season 8) didn't even crack the the 30 it's original release date, which means it sold less than 15,000 copies on DVD… (No idea about the Blu-ray.)

There seems to be a real demand for 24 on Blu-ray at least. We know they've worked on remastering the series. Hopefully we'll hear something at the 24 panel at Comic-Con.

What happened at the ComiCon Panel?
I can't find anything for it online anywhere?
Did the Panel get cancelled?

The Comic-Con panel DID happen, but there was NO mention of any blu-ray release, even though they were supposed to highlight a featurette from LAD.

You can watch the whole thing here: http://www.24spoilers.com/2014/07/26...omic-con-2014/

Are the early seasons blu-ray ready? Lots of 16x9 shows are not on bluray as the quality just isn't there for it - Smallville for example. Being a new and ambitious show, I can see the first season not looking so great on blu-ray even if it was done on film.

I liked it when it first came out but my interest dropped as the series went on. Watched only a few episodes of LAD. Already have the other seasons on dvd so I might revist them someday but not worth a blu-ray upgrade for me even if one does come out.

A show like 24 would sell on blu though. Not every show will, but genre shows and action classics do. However since everyone interested probably owns 24 on DVD already they would likely wait for a sale, which means lower sales. So it's a toss-up really.

Hence the new 24 getting a BD release, old 24 not (so far).

I want to re-watch the whole series again, but don't really want to watch it on netflix or amazon instant video due to compression. I have the DVDs as well, but again would rather watch in high-definition glory. :-/
