So they have a BTS featurette about Insurgent on the Blu-Ray for Part 1...but wouldn't it have been better to have a featurette on Part 2 of Mockingjay? Or do you think Insurgent will have a featurette on Mockingjay part 2?

They're using the big sister franchise to promote the little sister franchise.

LOL. Probably won't see any footage for a while on MJ2 yet. Still need to shoot one more final key scene from what I hear. And
[Show spoiler]they're waiting for the spring to shot that scene.

It's a blatant cash grab. They want to make up for the money that MJP1 didn't get since it grossed less than $400 mil and didn't play in IMAX b/c of Interstellar's month-long bookings.

Coincidentally, if you look at the Twilight series, the only one to break $300 mil (Eclipse) was also the only one that played in IMAX.

Gotta squeeze more of those final big box office numbers. It'll be like Harry Potter with DHPT1&2 being made into 3D.

I have a feeling we'll get a teaser trailer at the MTV Movie Awards in April, especially since it won MTV Movie Brawl's Most Anticipated Movie of 2015.

Oh, yeah? That's cool! I knew about that. It was between that and The Maze Runner. They might wanna start the promotion for the one sooner and not so late like the last.

Ugh. No. I don't need this to be in 3D. I will watch this in Dolby Atmos, as I've been planning all along.

So I heard they were interested in doing prequel movies. I'm sorry, But i think they'll fail. I mean Jennifer Lawrence is the franchise! So no Jennifer, no go! Or at least that's how it is with me. But I'm sure others would be interested in other stories told.

The Blu-Ray is released in March, Insurgent comes out a few weeks later. Why would they have a featurette for Insurgent on the Blu-Ray for Part 2, which is a year later and when no one cares about Insurgent anymore?

I'd read/watch prequels IF and ONLY IF Suzanne Collins wrote them. If she's moved on, but they still do them, then count me out.

That's what they gets for splitting things never meant to be split.

I doubt she'll do it. Unless they back up a giant truck of cash for her.

Yeah, she's only written one book since "Mockingjay" -- something called "Year of the Jungle" whatever that is.

It's just difficult for me to imagine the stories being compelling the way "The Hunger Games" books were, if Collins isn't involved.

They end up making more money than off of one film, though.

Yep. Plus we've gotten to know these characters so well. So new ones would feel like eh. Not that emotionally invested as we did with the others.
