Why is it that the people who dislike Jurassic World act like they're higher and mightier than those who enjoyed it?

I thought it was brilliant. Deal with it.

I'm just glad they're not trying to rush a sequel.

please don't act like this attitude is unique to Jurassic Park. I've been called some rather nasty names for my love of Michael Bay and Transformers.

Yup, happens all the time. Check any discussion on the Star Wars prequels in any Star Wars-related thread.

This is actually common, be it politics, entertainment, etc. The opposition/negative side will always speak louder.

"The opposing side always speaks louder"

But since there are two sides they can't both be speaking louder.

Anyway, fun movie. Wonder how the next one plays out.

Well there will be people and dinosaurs. Also as Ian Malcolm said in Lost World.

At first there's Oohing and Aahing. Then later, there's running and screaming. Nice oversimplification of all 4 films.

No need--just kidding.

The negative opinion on movies is always louder.

I 100% agree. And I find it sad.

That's why the world stinks--- hate is tireless.

That's why the Fantastic Four thread sucks, too.

Took their time announcing a sequel. Obvious it would happen, though.

I for one will be seeing this in 3D at the cinema, regardless of whether it's a good sequel or not.

The reason this movie did so good was Pratt's rising popularity after GotG and nostalgia from the first film. It was dumb fun but I'm calling it now, this sequel won't come anywhere remotely close to the first JW at the BO. With JW it was like the stars aligned, they pulled it out at the right time and with the right star.
I think sequels rarely do as well as the first films. This film itself was a reboot-sequel anyway so Jurassic World 2 is *technically* not a second film in a franchise.

This is movie world. That doesn't matter. Besides, I think they could because they'd get thrill seekers going.

I totally disagree. Both were memorable; especially Chris Pratt as Owen. Also, there's absolutely no way a woman who runs away from a T-Rex in HIGH HEELS could be unmemorable.

I think the main problem here is that when those who dont like this movie or that, go to those specific movies just to talk shit. Not contributing anything, except to rile people up.

I dislike chick flicks and most action movies, but you dont see me go to their respective threads and bash it, being passive-aggressive to annoy people, then say "oh its just criticism, nothing wrong with that".

Baby boy, you break my heart.

There's nothing wrong with disliking a film and neither is there anything wrong with voicing that opinion. My point is that those who dislike it have a tendency to put down those that enjoyed it, insinuating that anybody who liked Jurassic World is an idiot who will devour any bullshit Hollywood chugs out. It's a ridiculous way of thinking. I hated Man of Steel but I'm not going to condescend those who liked it. Obviously they saw something in it that I didn't and good for them.

I hope the writing and characters are better in the sequel as that's what i disliked most about JW. I would prefer Pratt and Dallas Howard NOT to return so already i'm less psyched for it than if they weren't coming back.

Overall though i just hope it's a movie i really enjoy and that i am fully engaged throughout.

Thought JW was enjoyable, warts and all, so I'll be there for the sequel.
