'The Tall Man's balls are a lot more shiny' Coscarelli seems like a nice guy Here's hoping for a nice box-set. It would be nice if The Beastmaster would be released too

I highly recommend Phantasm, but it's not a film for everyone. It's rather cerebral given how it was edited and the plot's kind of haphazard.

They managed to get Universal to cooperate for the Halloween box set, so hopefully something can happen with Phantasm II as well.

Don hasn't had a good relationship with universal in the past, not sure if that has cleared up or not. If that's the case I am not sure about there being that much of a chance for it to happen

YES! I have been waiting for this for a long time. I literally have a Phantasm poster hanging right behind my living room television.

Time to sell my Phantasm DVDs before they go down in value.

Since there is no official release date or anything I can see this thread getting bumped a lot like many other titles that were announced with no real concrete information. I sincerely hope this comes in the spring of 2016

A boxed set of all Phantasm films would be pretty awesome, but I really hope someone other than Scream/Shout ends up with it. Phantasm 2 needs to be redone. The current release's PQ and AQ are pitiful.

Pretty slim chances. It looks like since Big Robot is behind it Paramount will likely be releasing it.

Don is an excellent guy. Very cool. I had the lucky pleasure of working with him on John Dies At the End. I'd go as far as saying one of the nicest guys in Hollywood.

They better do it justice. I remember reading that the international rights to all 4 or 5 were bought from someone, hoping for an awesome boxset from Arrow. I would def import that.

What did you do on that film? I loved it; almost a perfect adaptation (until the third act).

Good to hear! I was just browsing and found it weird that Phantasm II was on Blu Ray but not Phantasm I. Nearly picked up the DVD which is kinda pricey, now I don't have to... Just be patient and wait

Hello all! First post here!
The Phantasm DVD by Anchor Bay is currently pricey, but I doubt that all of the extras will be on the blu-ray. It has commentary, interviews, trailers, and behind the scenes featurette. Still, probably best to wait and see at this point. I plan on keeping the DVD and adding it to the blu-ray release.

Not to derail the thread but wish Bubba-Ho-Tep was out in this region. 😞

That's very sad. Such a horror icon.

Will look forward to seeing him in Phantasm Ravager.

This hurts. I'm glad he had a long life and has many fans that will enjoy his movies but still. Phantasm is in my top 5 horror of all time. R.I.P.
