Agreed. I just can't bring myself to spend 29.99 on a digital-only release. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the movie but I would like to use it as demo material.

Good job there aren't lots of different cuts of the film on Blu-ray, **** knows what you'd end up with on the pack-in Blu!

I wish we could see the back covers to find out if this has an Atmos audio track.

I just watched the 1080p blu-ray of Pacific Rim last night (2D version). It looks and sounds amazing (I usually view the 3D version).

Aside from an Atmos remix, how much better could it possibly be in 4K UHD?

Theatrically it went out with an Atmos mix so technically it's not a 'remix

The Vudu UHD version has Atmos so I think that is pretty much a lock that the UHD will. Warner is pretty good about including them if they are available.

The Walmart.ca site lists it as unavailable, but if you scroll down to the specs, you'll see the release date is listed as 09/08/2016. Now it's not clear if they use MDY or DMY dates. So that could be either August 9, 2016, or it could be September 8, 2016. Hurray for ambiguous date formats! (And people I live and work with wonder why I use YMD for everything).
