You are talking 2 different things.

Renewing the link, which needs to be done every 2 years unless there is a glitch or forced re-linking like recently, which is different from changing the provider account you have linked to DMA and for which you have to wait 6 months to change from from one account to a second account on the same provider.

All the providers follow the same rules, but recently some people were able to change linked Google accounts without waiting, maybe because of the forced unlink.

I had to do it with mine cause I wasn't aware nor found anything on Google for it. I bought two movies that were supposed to be DMA on Google Play, but they weren't showing up on DMA. Vudu showed up and Amazon Prime Video showed up back and forth, but Google Play was only receiving DMA movies and not sending them back.

I had to go to DMA, unlink and re-link my Google Play, so it now began to talk properly with DMA. And the prompt I saw, when I went to do this particular task, stated I could only add one account EVERY SIX MONTHS. It was done just last month and I remember it well.

Maybe the conditions got revised in the past few weeks? I don't know.

All I know is what I had to do to resolve my issue and I am encouraging folks that if they buy something that is DMA on a service that is connected to DMA but it doesn't pop up there, then to unlink and relink the account.

Yes, unlinking and relinking usually solves DMA transfer problems, that is good advice.

When you do this you do get the 6 month warning, which does scare people, but it does not apply if you are linking back to the same account, it only applies if you are trying to change to a different account within that same provider.

So noted. But if anything, this thread will be invaluable with the information that it has now. Especially if Google Play continues doing their 50% off promos and people keep nabbing Disney or Pixar or Marvel or Star Wars titles from them in this context. So far, it's the only place I was able to get any answers.

Thanks. Well, debating whether I should try to get National Treasure now or wait until the next 50% code comes along. Is NT normally $9.99 or is that a sale price because it's part of the Disney sale?

I still have that $10 in GP credit in my account that I could use this on (2 x $5), but if I can buy it for half and use the other half on another title too (like NT2 with another 50% off), that'd be better!

FYI - the National Treasure movies are $9.99 for SD. They are $17.99 for HD.

Yup, that looks like it might be the same offer code that I received - 50% off any one TV season (but may work on bundles too). Don't think it is select series. Didn't realize all the codes were the same.

Definitely targeted though as my main account was eligible but my linked account was not.
