To be fair, they have it at £14.99 so I dunno if it's an error or not. I guess we can wait and see, but I'd rather lock it in now and can always cancel it a few days before release for whatever reason!

This version will come with an embossed slipcover, but no word of a booklet yet (might be a steelbook exclusive).

PS: I ordered it with Alice in the Cities. Was gonna wait for Blood Simple and/or Sorcerer but HMV are taking their sweet time on those (they pulled the former from the offer when I was about to order it, annoyingly).

I wonder how many people will get caught up in all the excitement of fund-raising only to discover they should've waited for the colour-corrected Synapse release.

Hmm... I might have to pop over to the American thread for The Thing and look for some tips on how to live in denial

Synapse is region A locked so not everyone will want it, just for that reason alone
the UHD HDR version will be out in a few years anyway

Maybe just the opposite thing will happen?

They DO take up quite a bit of space, but I have some double/triple/quadruple/...-dips and I try to only have one of those on the easily accessible shelves at one time.

It's worse with the comic book collection, THAT one takes up a lot of space!!

88% now as of 9:30am UK time. £13,163 acquired of the £15k already. It's only the beginning of day 2. I wonder if they will exceed their target and add more special features? Or just get moving on the printing so we get it before Feb 2018? There are still a fair few Steelbooks left at the moment.

The way it is going they could get Dario Argento and Jessica Harper to sign every copy for the backers [hint]

Technically it's still on the first day, it's just short of 23 hours since this went live...

This is REALLY impressive! I knew there was a cult following, but I never expected this level of engagement!

Actually went live around midday 12:00. I logged on at 12:31 just after it was supposed to have gone live and was the 42nd backer so already half way through the 85 early bird spaces.

I'm only going by what Cultfilms' post stated on FB. They said it would be 1230pm. But, still, it's only because I follow them on FB that I even knew it was going live. I never did get the e-mail from Indiegogo and the first early bird stuff was almost gone when I logged in. I'm happy with the Steelbook though. That's what I was going for anyway.

At £14,076 now.

It'd be nice if the goal was hit today

Wow.....I thought they'd make it but not this quick! Perhaps this is the way of the future, to get quality releases.

I've got a whole room downstairs but I need more shelves. Not that I have room for more shelves

When they talk about the bonus features for this crowdfunded release - are there going to be extras that are exclusive to this version, or will they be identical to the ones on the standard blu-ray edition that'll be widely available?
