Same as the current UHD of The Matrix so each will include a UHD of the film, remastered Blu-ray of the film and bonus features Blu-ray.

Despite already owning the 4K release of the original film, I had preordered the 4K trilogy boxset from Amazon, because it was ironically cheaper than the combined cost of the individual releases of latter two films in 4K. However, after learning about Best Buy's exclusive steels for all three 4K releases, I canceled my pre-orders with Amazon and ordered the steels. They look amazing. I guess I'll sell my 4K release of the first film on eBay.

Really looking forward in watching all of these back to back.

After all these years, I think I prefer Reloaded the most.

It has the best action scene bar none.

If you're talking about the freeway chase, I definitely agree.

That's part of it.
The chateau to the end of the chase I count as all one scene as it doesn't stop.

The first is the best film overall, Reloaded has the best action and Revolutions has the best score

Yep, I count it all, but I'm lazy and just refer to it as "the freeway chase".

It looks like these 4K sets do not have the bonus content from discs 4-6 of The Ultimate Matrix Collection Blu-ray including Animatrix and a hours of other bonus content.

Not included in the 4K trilogy but in the Ultimate Matrix Collection:
[Show spoiler]

Disc 4 (Blu-ray)

Perhaps the greatest extra of them all on this massive set is the inclusions of The Animatrix in full 1080p adn Dolby TrueHD sound. This series of animated stories relate directly to the final two films of the Matrix series. The Japanese animation houses used for these shorts have turned in some remarkable work. Frankly, I like The Animatrix better than the last two films of the series.

Here's what's included: "Final Flight of the Osiris"
"The Second Renaissance Part 1"
"The Second Renaissance Part 2."
"Kid's Story"
"Program,"
"World Record,"
"Beyond,"
"Detective Story,"
"Matriculated,"

Also included with The Animatrix are a good number of extra features including several scene specific commentaries, the outstanding "Scrolls to Screen: The History and Culture of Anime" featurette and the "Execution" behind the scenes documentary.

Disc 5 (DVD)

The absolute overkill of this set continues with another complete disc of features.

-"Return to Source: Philosophy & The Matrix" - An hour long documentary featuring opinion and commentary on the philosophy of The Matrix from scholars and philosophers. We are now entering the overkill zone.
- "The Hard Problem: The Science Behind the Fiction" - This is very much a full-fledged documentary on the pitfalls of man's eventual and current reliance on technology. Interesting stuff!

Disc 6 (DVD)

-"The Burly Man Chronicles" - This extensive extra is a feature length documentary on the entire production process on Reloaded and Revolutions. If the previous thirty hours of extras didn't get it done for you, let's hope this feature does.
-"Zion Archive" - Welcome to the gallery feature of this endless set. There are, literally, thousands of images here for your viewing pleasure.
-"Rave Reel" - As though anyone was requesting more dancing and boogie time from these films - - here you go.

Is anyone else getting the steels? They look pretty darn neat.

Personally I am over steel books because they often arrive in stores with scratches or dents.

I've never received a damaged steel; I always receive mine via mail, apart from the steel for Age of Ultron in 4K, which I bought in person and which wasn't damaged either. Perhaps the Best Buy distribution center that supplies your local Best Buy is the cause of your issue.

Yes. Hence, I won't be getting rid of that Blu-ray set.

Kind of makes the extra bonus Blu-ray discs in these seem a bit redundant if you have them already.

I want to customize the 4K in steelbook editions and keep that alongside the ultimate matrix set.
