Blu-ray Knight

I've just started buying DVD again. I've gotten over my snobbishness, especially since I watch a lot of films on my laptop or tablet.
There are lots of great films that aren't on Blu-ray. With that said, and to answer the original question, I only upgrade when it's a favorite film or one that particularly benefits from the upgrade in picture. For example, I wouldn't bother upgrading a Bridget Jones or Jerry Maguire. I've had many pleasurable experiences watching films on the back of an airplane seat. Most often, a good story negates the need for pristine visuals. Sent from the mobile client - Forum Talker |

DVD to BD is an instant upgrade honestly, even if it's the same master. Granted that's easy for me to say as I sold most of my DVDs to move overseas a long time ago, so I didn't have to make that call very often. There are probably 80's b-movies and such I would have stuck with DVD for if I owned them.
