It's no guarantee that the titles will come out here in the States with Paramount. Probably a decent chance War of the Worlds could come from Scream but so far all the Paramount titles have been limited to the Scream line and no other boutique label was able to get a deal with Paramount. Kino was hopeful of a deal, but it didn't come to fruition. Paramount seems to be more open to licensing in continental Europe(Germany especially) and Down Under in Australia than it does in the US and UK. My preference is for subs, but with the Paramount titles fans may have to take what comes given Paramount's unwillingness to license out to boutiques and the troubling trend of BD-R releases in the US.

your comments show nothing but decency and respect. you've said nothing but nice things to me nothing condescending and nothing disrespectful so you are right by calling me out and calling me condescending and disrespectful. you are a legend bro. Thanks brother. Any other comments you want to make please make it a PM. There's nothing more than I hate than other members arguing and clogging up a thread through their ego wanting everyone else to see whethet they win or lose. If you want to take it further p.m. me and keep it out of the threads. Last edited by Flash3000; 03-02-2020 at 08:20 AM. |

Of the five that have been announced, I'm generally ambivalent about The Duellists, but the other four are films that I really, really want for the films themselves. I don't feel the least bit hesitant to admit that I am a Collector, and the spine numbers and slipcases are a plus for me, but (with very few exceptions, and with more of a "oh, what the hell" than a "have to have it") I don't buy Limited Edition white-tie-and-tails releases if they are of films I'm not interested in. |

Just placed an order for this new bundle of 5 ($150AUD), no problem at all, paid via Paypal and delivery is to Canada.
Pricey delivery? Well, in comparison to some countries I've imported from including the USA, not really ($45AUD). ymmv ![]() |

Just thought I'd mention, many of you have probably seen their mention of a forthcoming DVD for The Keep while visiting their site.
![]() I've had an Aussie dvd of this for some time and it's the exact same cover, so I don't get the impression they've done anything new with it. The release I have, has junk PQ but I was notably impressed with the AQ. Most of us know the reason this title is in limbo and what it will take to get a Blu. That's sad... ![]() I'll check later to see who released the dvd I have and get back to ya. Last edited by Gorgon; 03-02-2020 at 06:48 PM. |

I've pre-ordered War of the Worlds and Sorry Wrong Number from Amazon AU for $34 each. I'll probably just pick and choose the movies I want from this label. Not sure if my Amazon pre-ordered are for these special slipcase editions but they're labeled as "Special Edition" on Amazon so we'll have to see!

For those interested, JB has just put the pre-orders for all five titles on their website. All are priced at around $30 AUD each (interestingly Waterloo is at $35 AUD). Might be a good get for anybody wanting to purchase from internationally, instead of paying the huge price directly from Viavision.

Not terribly helpful through JB, but at least it's a starting point. Nice prices relative to the other sites, but $45 Shipping to the US
All 5 titles -- $200 AUD shipped to the US. GST refunds after it ships IF you contact them and request so probably closer to $180-185AUD, but I've never figured out JB GST refund numbers -- sometimes it's 8%, sometimes it's been close to 15%. I know AUS GST is 10%, but JB apparently seems to use some base that isn't clear. Sanity has higher prices on the titles, but $25 shipping, deducts VAT at order, and has a 10% off code. Around 180AUD and shipping time (7-8 days) is usually half of JB deliveries (10-22 days) Both still better than VV direct ($200 shipped) even with the bundle discount. I find it somewhat humorous: 4 titles 30ea at JB, Waterloo is 35 Sanity has 4 titles at 37ea, but I Married a Monster is 43 All 5 title $35 at VV |
