I'm ALL for this upgrade! One, we get lossless audio, and two, kiss that MPEG-2 encode goodbye! This is easily one of Burton's best looking films, thanks to future Oscar winning Cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki and the stunning production design! I bought the digipack version with the Washington Irving story in it a few years ago for a usual HIGH Barnes & Noble price, but it's nicer than a keepcase.

This one's going on the wishlist immediately!

Can't imagine the steelbook art being better than the black or white existing blu-ray steelbook art so I'll preorder the standard edition.

So glad this is happening! My HD-DVD player finally died a few months ago, so i lost access to many movies, Sleep Hollow being one of them. I was tempted to slowly buy the blus, now i'm glad I waited.

It could be Burton's greatest visual achievement along with Batman Returns, but I'm a little skeptical about how much care will be shown. The blu was pretty bad, and I've heard mixed reports about some of Paramount's recent 4K releases.

About time! I've been holding out on this one... been tempted many times to just get the Blu-ray, but I know it looks like shit. So praise Jesus, this is finally getting the 4K treatment!

No artwork images or mock-ups yet. I guess those will come when Paramount makes the official announcement. The suspense is killing me. Very interested in the steelbook.

I'd be fine if they simply repurposed the BD steelbook for the 4K release (hopefully with the same glossy finish). It's a nice looking SB.

This is one of my favorite horror movies ever. There are very few movies that can match its aesthetic and atmosphere. Unfortunately I’m sure they port over the same ancient extras from the DVD. Burton films never get any love with the bonus features.

I missed out on that! It may have been a Play exclusive in UK?

If you own that already and the 4K just gets some ugly steel, not like you can't repurpose the old steel with the new discs and j-card, if not against that type of thing. In regards to the standard BD logo on the spine, Paramount is iffy with that. The Transformers Last Knight 4K and A Quiet Place 4K steels just reused the prior BD steel art, including spine with BD logo.

I was going to do that with Shooter, since I had the UK steel and the US 4K steel art was ugly mondo crap. Bought the US 4K steel with that intention. But then the standard 4K hit with the OTHER poster art (forest and hunting rifle) and now I just plan to keep them separate for the two alternate arts.

I can't even describe how excited I am about this. There are only a handful of titles I get pumped about every few years, and this is one of them.

The original BD wasn't the most awful thing ever for its time, but it's far beyond needing a new release.

One of Burton's best. The atmosphere and mood were captured perfectly by Emmanuel Lubezki's beautiful cinematography. I hope Paramount's 4K UHD will finally do it justice.
