I bought a blu-ray player last summer and I have a full HD-projector and a 92" screen. Last evening I saw 30 Days Of Night and 300 on blu-ray and I still got "the wow-feeling". I don't think I will ever be able to go back to DVD again and if blu-ray is not the future, I will without doubt find another hobby.

You know I think i will still have the wow factor when i get home. I am currently in Baghdad and missing my PS3 and Blu-ray movies. I am stuck watching bootleg movies of all kinds. So my wow factor will still be in full effect. Just wish i had my Blu-rays over here

I'm still wowed, and I was still wowed with (some) DVD's even 10 years after my first purchase.

Maybe that's why studios aren't in a hurry to release all the movies we want on blu all at once. I am sure the 'wow' factor will be back once we see Transformers (2007) on blu!

I think the idea here is to keep some distance between yourself and blu-ray for a while. Constant exposure to even the greatest food will wear thin after a while. Then what is next in life?

In my humble opinion, far too many people use physical objects to fill a spiritual need in their life. Be that need for God, or doing things for the less fortunate. The greatest sense of fullfilment always comes from something you do for others - not by what others do for you. So, buy someone a blu-ray today.
