Kind of bizarre, considering the Fox release was pretty solid. Healthy bitrate AVC/DTS MA on a BD50. Sure, they didn't dish out a massive restoration of the print (surprise surpise) but at least they gave it a solid encode and resisted the urge to play with the DNR/edge enhacement dials. Sure a commentary would be welcome, but I'm guessing this will be more or less a straight reissue.

I bought this release last summer and I thought the PQ and AQ was quite good. Very nice summer flick

The FOX release is great, no complaints at all. I wonder if the Warner reissue will have no special features just the movie since it's not titled "Pure Adrenaline Edition". I just don't see any reason at all to buy the reissue when the FOX version is quite solid and has special features. The Warner edition may not but it could be exactly the same disc. This explains now why it all of a sudden just went OOP, so did the DVD version from FOX. I know Bodhi won't like the new artwork from Warner, the wave is now smaller.

I've put-off buying the Fox release for some time and I'm not disappointed that I didn't buy it sooner, when the price wasn't over $10. I don't mind the new artwork from Warner's soon-to-be release, it actually looks cleaner to me, either way, I'm not gonna wait again this time when Warners re-releases it

Looks like it's going to be a BD-25 (compared to a BD50 for Fox).

Extras include a Making of, Deleted Scenes and a trailer.

Point Break (Warner edition) has been restored from original film elements, and this in 2K, VO en DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1.
Bonus:
Surf documentaries, Malibu Beach, shooting locations, etc..
A press kit original 24 pages, a surfer Necklace...
