Cool Who is buying "Batman The movie" on July 1st?

This is the 1960's one with Adam West and Burtward. I picked this up on DVD a number of years ago as it was only 7 bucks. But do I now want to spend 28 bucks on the blu-ray version?

I mean, I am sure it will look great, but 28 bucks worth of great? Almost pointless as I have no current plans to buy all the batman movies on blu-ray. This one is significant because it is from my childhood.

Should I get it or will the Joker be on me? Great cover art though.

Thoughts? Feelings? Rants? Flying words like pow and zap?

I really want to buy it, and I know I will enjoy it, but I am not excited about paying $27.95 for this. As soon as I can get it for $20, I am in.

I've got it already and I loved it. I watched the TV show as a kid but had never seen the movie until now. It was a lot of fun.

I'm a big Batman fan, but $28 is way too much. Fox really needs to lower the prices on their catalog titles (say $19.99).

The special features sound interesting.

I'm certainly gonna try to get it as early as possible. I'll probably order a studio master complete series(DVD) set sometime as well.

Just realized that this is a Fox title That explains the unreasonable price.

I'll wait for the 4.99 rack at Walmart. I have it on DVD and that will hold me over for a long time. I might be picking up the cartoons soon though.

Same here. I will buy it when it falls under the $20 mark. The SD DVD I have will hold me over till then. Its not like I watch it often. In fact I've only watched it twice since buying it over a year ago. But then again, Lee Meriwether in latex via 1080p might be worth $28!!! LOL

I like the movie a lot.

I bought the DVD version uber cheap and played it several times already.

But,... It's just not the Blu Ray I'll be willing to spend ~$30 for. If I had too,.. For Your Eyes Only may get the full Fxck me fee known as retail or MSRP but not this particular Batman movie.

Just wanted to clarify my earlier comment so that I don't unintentionally mislead anyone.

I loved the movie and thought it was a lot of fun but from a PQ/SQ standpoint, it's not like 2001, Blade Runner or Patton where you go wow, I can't believe an older movie looks this good. I thought it looked good considering what it is (low-budget movie from the 60s) and I think it's well worth it for fans of the movie and/or the series. If you're on the fence though, rent it first or wait for a great sale (like some have already mentioned).

Definitely. I reckon I'll be able to find it on one of the ongoing 2-for-$50 offers for catalogue titles.

I will grab it on sale in a week or so.
People love to ***** about Fox's prices but tend to forget that they are in pretty much every single Amazon and Best Buy sale for great prices.

I want this nugget of garbage as much as I want a Blu-ray copy of Batman and Robin. My first Blu-ray Batman movie will be the new one coming out.
