I don't know which was my favorite, but I had several that I loved. In no particular order:

Final Fantasy 7 and 8
Resident Evil 1, 2, 3
Dino Crisis 1 and 2
Fear Effect 1 and 2
Metal Gear Solid
Parasite Eve 1 and 2
Tomb Raider 1 and 2

Did the 2nd one have a sweet of a grappling system as the first?

I thought about getting part 2 but ultimately decided against it. I regard importing as being more trouble than it's worth; rare exceptions made for DDR.
Even sweeter actually. Tobal 2 was a much better game in every respect. I played in a tournament where me and this other guy were reversing each other for about 2-3 minutes straight (counter disabled)

I don't even remember which one of us won, it was awesome

Plus you could play as a chocobo (no grappling though)

Crazy trivia- it was also one of the first games to support analog control (the pad with analog but no rumble)

Not sure if I've still got my Dual Analogue PlayStation controller with the concave thumbsticks. Might have given it to my dad with my original PlayStation. Probably not that rare anyway.

In my opinion, the finest game to hit the PS1 was Final Fantasy Tactics. I actually just finished replaying that game and can say that it really holds up well after all of these years. Obviously the graphics are dated, but the game play and story line are still compelling.

And you can even unlock cloud strife(even though it's like 20 steps you gotta go through).

Definitely would recommend the PSP updated version of FFT (if you have a PSP). They replaced the original CGI cinematics with anime-style cinematics and a lot of the mistranslations in the original PS1 version have since been corrected. I still have my original PS1 CD FFT and it'll stay in my collection but the improvements brought a freshness to the game

Still have 2 of my original PS1 light gray non-analogue controllers hanging around somewhere. Tekken and Street Fighter were sooooooo much easier on those things until the analogue-capable controllers were introduced

Top 10:

1. Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus
2. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee = Medievil
I loved Oddworld, was big time disappointed when Lorne Manning and the Oddworld Inhabitants expressed their "displeasure" with Sony early on and jumped on the XBox platform. Terrible loss

I have original PS controller, all official, in Grey, White, and Red. I didn;t get around to picking up a black one, but maybe.

1. Final Fantasy VII
2. Final Fantasy Tactics
3. Resident Evil 2
4. Castlevania: SotN
5. Metal Gear Solid
6. Valkyrie Profile
7. Xenogears
8. Suikoden 2

The PlayStation is still, IMO, the King Console of RPGs.

Yep. I was really annoyed that I couldn't play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee or Stranger's Wrath since they were released exclusively to xBox.
