Abe's Exoddus for me. My favourite game ever. It has PS2 quality graphics, a brilliant storyline, beautifully animated cut-scenes, fun, addictive gameplay and it comes in 2 discs. Honestly, what more could you ask for.

I have to say Castlevania: Symphony of the Night simply because it is just about the only PS1 games I have played multiple times and may occasionally still play today.

Honorable mentions:
Metal Gear Solid (loved the story and presentation)
Final Fantasy VII (my first RPG and one of the best)
Tekken 2/3
Xenogears
Resident Evil 2 (i never really played RE1)

final fantasy 7 hands down. resident evil 2 and metal gear solid a close second with final fantasy 8 and castlevania symphony coming in a close 3rd. ps1 rocked hard hope the ps3 can deliver what the last 2 generations did in terms of triple A games in a variety of genres

In no particular order. I can think of a number of reasons why any of these would be my fave. A slight nod has to go out to Castlevania, though. I don't know how many times I've played that game from start to finish, and I love it every time.
