Does anyone know 40 GB PS3's compatibility with PS1 games? Was thinking of Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Gauntlet.

All PS3s are compatible with PS1 games. Its only PS2 games you need to concern yourself with.

No problem man. And FYI, no 40GB PS3s play PS2 games, but they do play PS1.

I have occasional glitches with PS1 compatibility on a 40 GB PS3. If I put in a multi disk game and I enter the wrong disk, I sometimes have problems with it not recognizing the correct disk after I re-enter the disk and have to restart the game with the right disk. Other then that, I've never had a problem with gameplay itself.

I bought a couple of games from the states and it was region locked since I have a Region B PS3
