Its really sad too because Im telling you... SSHD is BANKING on being the only title with trophies right now. Not only the game but the two (once they release the other one) expansion packs. I just dont understand how that incentive for profits can be denied.

Oh well.

Im just hoping that at least 60% of the games I have will get trophy support. So far its only like 20%. Not good.

Seriously. Im getting really tired of being the red headed step child that no one cares about...especially considering that red headed stepchild is lightyears ahead of the spoiled sibling.

Well for one of the best selling games, IW has done a bangup job of completely ignoring CoD4 following it's release. What have they done so far... 4 new frigging maps and a sniper patch? They've absolutely zero interest in downloadable content, let alone trophies, etc., and they've completely failed to address some of the more annoying online problems (connection interrupted, no "mute" in lobbies, etc). 10/10 for a great game. 2/10 for support.

There seriously should have been more supporting games at the launch of the update. Devs should have already had patches ready when it came out.

not when they have sequels in the works....theyd rather patch those first, iron the kinks out of those games and maybe patch the others.....trophy support isnt going to sell disc-based games esp ones already released over a year ago...they have run their course and sold the bulk that they are gonna sell.......PSN, yes, but not disc based. This buisness game is about money and if they think they are not going to make much off something like a patch then they are not going to commit resources (aka time and money) to do so....Im not suprised for the lack of support right now or shocked, this is what I expected.....we are just gonna have to wait till the fall when trophies will take off and be included....

As of now they have stated they wont be doing a patch for it. However they are working hard on R2. Once that releases I wouldnt be surprised to see them go back and patch R&C:TOD AND R1.

Naughty Dog: Uncharted Trophies coming 'very soon'

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune developer Naughty Dog tells us that a patch to add PlayStation Trophy support to the game will be available by mid-August. Company co-president Evan Wells says that the update has already been submitted for quality assurance testing and could hit sooner.

According to Wells, the patch was "incredibly easy" to implement because the game already contains preliminary support for Trophies via its Medals reward system. He further revealed that these hooks were actually included because Naughty Dog thought Sony would roll out Trophies before Uncharted's November 2007 launch.

As with other PS3 titles getting retroactive Trophy support, Uncharted will require those who've already completed the game to play through again in order to unlock Trophies, even if they had previously earned every Medal. Wells says this is primarily to prevent people from simply using someone else's save data to artificially bolster their Trophy collection. Shame on you for even thinking about it.

Trophies are becoming a double edge sword for me. I love the idea of trophies, but now I don't want to play any of my games till the patches for these trophies come out. lol.

Great link and news. So This just proves once again (Bioshock devs were another one), that a trophy patch IS NOT HARD. And most game do have some type of built in reward system OR a platform for trophy type from 360 achievements. I stand by the fact that if there is no trophy patch coming out its because the devs are lazy, plain and simple.

hehe. i was going to bold the incredibly easy just for you but i figured you'd get around to it I figured that's what they would say, truth be told i'm sure it's easy especially if you already have rewards in the game but it still takes a good month and a half and when your on a deadline that month could be used for something else all together

I havent heard or read anything about SC4. However, the devs for Force Unleashed have stated they have no plans to add trophy support. Another EPIC FAIL. I was on the fence about that game and frankly them not caring to put in trophies for a game that hasnt even released yet (and is x-platform so it has achievements on the 360 side) has made up my mind for me. Im not going to support devs that are lazy and dont care about PS3 consumers. And no matter how you slice it...thats basically what they are saying.

There was an article stating the trophy patch was done and its been submitted to quality assurance testing to make sure everything was up to par. Once it clears that it will be released. They said it will be no LATER then Mid-August. But SHOULD be sooner.
