I'm in the process of buying a townhouse. The new place will be much larger than my current apartment, but, in all likelihood, I'll probably still be storing the bulk of my movie collection in my bedroom closet, simply because I'd like to keep my living room clutter-free and because my new bedroom closet is generously big. Right now, most of my Blu-rays and DVDs are kept in plastic containers that I buy at Target, and, although they're not in any sort of alphabetical order, I can easily find what I'm looking for. My favorite Blu-rays (the Hitchcock movies, the James Bond movies, the classic film noir movies) will be in these wooden chests that I'll keep in my living room, though.

All my movies, and all of the rest of my families movies are all together. I don't really care what others think of my collection. I buy what I like , and my family buys what they like.

Lol nah I buy blurays for my 4 year old daughter all the time, they are usually quality Disney/Pixar flicks or other quality films I don't mind having on my shelf. If it's crap like Dora I just buy her DVDs and she keeps them in a disc wallet thing.

I thought this thread was going to be about "How do you keep your wife/kids from touching your blu-ray collection?" With answers such as, when I want to watch a movie I lock the little monsters up in a cage and send my wife downstairs, etc.

In all honesty I don't think I want my future kids to be messing around with my collection until they're tweens at least. Not sure how to pull that off though. Locking the media room seems pretty extreme!
