Of course I'm aware of that!
But that line really does sum up everything you need to know about Bruce Banner. I don't mind homages to old works. It just bothered me that they took the origin from the show.

I think this was because he had issues with his anger being restrained. (Remember the scene when he ran to his mother after a fight? The other kid had mentioned that Bruce didn't do anything. He just stood there shaking.) Note that after the accident, a door in his subconscious opened. I think this is why the first time he changes, he seems to get angry out of nowhere. The Hulk wanted out and was looking for any excuse, including through frustration from the stress Bruce had been through for the last few days. (At least that's how I've always seen it.
) The second change came when Talbot assaulted him. (That was definetly anger there!
) The third change came after he was being tortured in the water tank. (That'd piss me off too!
) His final change happened outta fear. (I'm sure you know the old saying, "Fear leads to hate. Hate leads to anger..."
)

Interestingly enough, in the forum where I used to frequent, there was actually a thread asking "Who's the Better Bruce Banner, Bana or Norton?" and quite a few people thought Norton was better because he looked "tough enough" to say the line "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." I remember being quite confused as to why Bruce would have to be a tough guy. I found it absolutely perfect when Bana-Banner told Talbot that he was making him angry and Talbot actually laughed because that's no threat to
him. At least he didn't
think it was! That's what made Bana perfect. He looked like you could kick his @ss, but he had a secret weapon deep down inside that shocked any and everyone that managed to carelessly piss him off!

It really was too bad that they didn't put it into the film. I do like the jump, but I hated the bunny hopping of the first Hulk. I like the single multi-mile jump from a standing position. Also the super-speed in the first film had me rolling my eyes  I can't recall any instances of the Hulk running super fast in the comics. (there I go nitpicking)

These interviews went on last year over at
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/. (I'm not sure if you can still find 'em, but good luck!) I think they're the reason I didn't enjoy it as much. At first, the director was all, "I liked Lee's film", but not long into production he started talking crap on it and about how much better and more action-packed his would be. He talked up the action so much that I actually expected this thing to be a Michael Bay movie!
I thought that the super-speed was all right. He only used it when he first burst out of the lab to get up the momentum to make his leaps. I loved watching him jump further and further until he was a small speck and then BOOM! He crashes down right in front of us!

I know exactly what you mean. When they first crashed into the ground together and The Hulk started pounding the living crap outta his father in the rock, I was all "YEAH! KICK HIS @SS!", then when he threw him into the water... I was a tad disappointed that there would be no more punching.
At the same time, I just loved the way he was able to "pour" his rage into dear, old dad! I don't know if the scene would've had as much of an impact if his father had been a solid form. I mean, The Hulk couldn't focus his rage into him that way. I guess they coulda had him act like The Leader did when he stole The Hulk's strength, but I don't know if people woulda understood what was going on when dad started just going insane and beating everything around him. And how would Bruce get his power
back? He was only able to get it from The Leader because of the machine that was created to steal his power in the first place.

), I haveta agree with Nameless Evil that
"Supergirl" would probably forever hold the title as
WORST COMIC ADAPTION EVER! Helen Slater was adorable, but Faye Dunaway was the worst villainess for a superhero! I mean, what kinda villain ditches their efforts at world domination for a man?! And a flippin' landscapist at that!
And what was up with the end? She just leaves and everyone promises not to mention her ever again?! I guess that's a good way to ferget about this travesty, huh?
