Why did they take a photo of Johnny Depp while he was working on the set of Pirates 5?

No, I'm serious and no i haven't.

You've never heard anything about him being half Indian. Or atleast I didn't hear anything of it.

His heritage is something of an uncertainty, including his supposed Native American roots. Here's a personal quote referencing his cultural past:
Quote:
"I guess I have some Native American (in me) somewhere down the line. My great-grandmother was quite a bit of Native American, she grew up Cherokee or maybe Creek Indian. Makes sense in terms of coming from Kentucky, which is rife with Cherokee and Creek."

Man. poor John Hart never gets any love. And honestly, I do skip any John Hart episodes when they air. So I guess I am guilty too

Niether does Klinton Spilsbury from 1981's The Legend of the Lone Ranger.
I really enjoyed that flick.

It would be great if the studio did a 4K restoration of the film and released it on BD50 blu-ray disc.

...YOU FOUND IT!

(That's been one of the rare MIA titles for years--
It still gets wearying by the last couple reels, and Spilsbury had to be dubbed for the entire movie--
But you still get chills at that one "origin" moment, Michael "Twin Peaks" Horse is a better classic-Tonto that Depp will ever be with a hundred Jack Sparrow sways, and Christopher Lloyd is an effective black-cape-baddie Bart Cavendish, even if not canonically correct to the original.)

The serial gets even less love. Sadly it was lost for many years and now exists in a battered print.

On a side note, I'd rather watch the serial through a coffee filter than watch Disney rape another classic franchise.

Would you rather watch the 2003 WB made for TV movie with martial arts master Tonto, or the upcoming Disney movie? Chad Michael Murray needed tobe hung from that lone tree up on the ill for making that piece of crap.

I didn't even mention the serial since I thought it was still lost. I'm a huge serial fan. Since VCI is releasing blu-rays now, I'd love for them to release one or two on blu as a test.

I think I'd rather get punched in the face than watch either.

And I'm not sure how I feel about serials on Blu since so many of the prints are so damaged. I watched the first two chapters of Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe yesterday and it's so corny but it's fun.

HORRIBLE DVD Transfer
What makes this a one-star review is the HORRIBLE DVD transfer of this film.
It literally looks like they took a VHS copy and made the DVD out of it.
It's 2 channel Dolby Digital (and sounds as flat as could be) and the picture
is 4 x 3 and not formatted for 16 x 9 screens.
It's embarrassing.
I KNOW they could have done better than this.

As another reviewer said, "don't waste your money on this."
