I wasn't really pissed, but I was in shock. I could not believe I actually did what I had done. I have never done it before, and never have since. I had a huge framed piece in there related to the Crow comic book series, it was a very costly piece to have framed, and one of my punches came within about an inch of hitting it was well. Interesting thing is the punch that went through the framed U2 poster, I actually punched right into the wooden stud in the wall and left an impression in it. I was told the force that was behind that punch must have been incredible, but I didn't feel anything. Maybe I should have called up Mike Tyson for a few rounds. LOL!

I believe theaters should start seeing that teaser for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" and the teaser for "The Hangover 2" this coming week. The teaser for "Green Lantern" should follow probably by the end of the month since it was announced a new trailer will be attached with "Thor". I believe the GL poster will look like this:

I think everyone probably does something odd like this in their life that they really can't explain.

Hey guys, got a question for you all. I just used my Disney Movie Rewards to redeem the new Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Poster and was wondering if it was double sided or not? I'm assuming it is cause I have heard most of the Disney Reward posters are. It's also 27"x40". If it is, that just saved me $25!!

There was a time when all it took was a poster had to be 27x40 in size for it to be an original, and double-sided at a time also meant an original, but unfortunately that isn't the case anymore (but that's an entirely different story and those who have read my earlier posts in this thread will probably know exactly what I am talking about.

While I don't doubt the Disney Rewards posters are originals, the one thing you need to concern yourself with is the condition. You see the employees who are responsible for packaging up the poster orders don't understand the collectibility of the product they are shipping to the customer. They simply roll the poster and slide it inside a flimsy tube, not even going so far as putting any protection inside to prevent the poster from sliding back and forth, and most importantly taping the end caps down. I have spoken to a number of people who have told me horror stories about the condition of the posters they have received, some getting an empty tube with missing end caps.

I had some Disney Reward points and wanted to see first hand what these people were dealing with. The first poster I got was damaged, the second was damaged even more, the third I got was inside but an end cap was missing from the tube, and after that I gave up. If you get a mint condition poster, you are one of the few. I tried to give the company some suggestions regarding their packaging but it fell on deaf ears. Good luck though should you decide to go that route, perhaps report back here after you get the poster too as maybe they have improved their packaging since then.

He is right. Receiving one in even decent condition will be a miracle. But they are free, so ... up to you.

That's very sad, especially when you have The Lion King poster available to get as a reward. If I do get a poorly packaged one, I'll probably complain and see what happens, but I may just have to buy it from Movieposter.com, $25 isn't too bad for a new release. This actually reminds me of the time I order my Prisoner of Azkaban poster from WB Shop, the poster has marks on one side and is slightly wrinkled. I'm thinking about getting a replacement from Movieposter.com, $16 is the same price I paid for the WB Shop one. But ya, it's sad that it's like that

I had the same experience. The first one was really damaged. The second had some small tearing on the end. I gave up at that point. It's frustrating because everything else has shipped fine.

I'm not a super huge Akira fan but did like it. This poster Stout did is so money it doesn't even know it. Or does it.

The actual pictures of the poster look insane. Available only at the screening last night and very limited. I think mondo will be doing this once a month? So who here lives in Texas?

No online sales by mondo or tyler for this either. These mystery movie mondo posters are going to fetch a pretty penny. Ouch!

Mr. Stout has been on a roll lately. Too bad I'll probably never own that. (I still will manage to get my hands on both Kill Bill prints)

They already have, a variant sold on eBay for $1500.00. Only 180 standards produced and 80 variants. These will be highly sought after for a number of reasons, the rarity, the fact that it is a Stout (and beyond beautiful I must say as all of his prints are incredible to look at), the low print run, etc. Right now the prices are high, and sometimes if you wait, you can maybe get it cheaper, but I don't think that is the case of these, I think they will always be high in demand.

As odd as it may sound coming from "me", MoviePoster.com's price for Pirates 4 "Final" style is more than fair, provided they are double-sided, mint, and authentic, which I am sure they are, their price is very good for that poster.

Michaels (Canada) has frames on sale right now @ 40% off then coupons available online for an additional 25% off again. 65% off. I just grabbed 2 27x40" frames for $55. It essentially means Buy 1 Get 1 Free and don't pay tax

(you do, but after discounts -- it's what it comes to) =P
