Those great emotional scenes were with Gamora/Thanos and Scarlett Witch/Vision and also because that element wasnt in the book.

Highlights of the movie:
1. Dr Strange
2. Thanos
3. Thanos’s creepy telepathy goon
4. Gamora and Scarlett Witch giving the film serious emotions
5. Thor and Rocket
6. Loki still being heroic

Disappointments:
1. They barely showed regular human beings getting affected. Some nyc city scenes but that’s it.
2. The evaporation of characters wasnt epic enough and should have shown more beings from many planets evaporating - at least from the worlds we have seen in Guardians. If they had evaporated Stan Lee’s character, that would have gotten to me.
3. Steve Rogers was excellent but wasnt used enough
4. Bruce Banner with head out of Hulkbuster looked like ridiculous cgi
5. Winter Soldier and Steve still not connecting as well as they did in First Avenger

Still damn entertaining but nowhere as balanced as Winter Soldier and Black Panther. Killmonger still at number 1. Thanos coming in second.

Yeah I thought they would show more people disappearing. I thought maybe there would be a scene of Pepper seeing people disappear and maybe herself.

I just dislike that it’s left for us to assume Hulk is traumatised or scared of Thanos, and getting his ass kicked, first time ever, as the reason Hulk won’t emerge Fromm Banner since returning to earth.

Will Hulk was used to be the one kicking other people’s a** and he was never man handled like that before not even by the Hulkbuster so yeah anyone who gets thrown around like a rang doll when it’s never happen to them before would be traumatized by it.

Considering they lost their 2 strongest fighters for since Ultron it’s no surprise. Honestly Thor had no business being in Civil War or any of the last movies cause he was on a mission to find out what the Infinity Stones was. And there’s no way the government would have the guts to threaten a god or someone like Hulk dice they can’t be controlled. But I would have loved to seen Banner and General Ross face to face again.

What part of he hasn’t seen Thor in years did you not get? Up until this film, no one knew or had any means to contact Thor. He was off the grid. Clearly you have a bias but there was nothing illogical of Fury reaching out to Carol.

Why didn’t he call her before? Bc she likely wasn’t around. Her solo will explain their connection and that and/or the next film will bridge the gap between that and her absence till now

I don't think it cheapens her death either. His sadness and desperation and anger at her death technically caused him to die too. I mean, this guy was going to kill her himself from their promise to prevent all this and it still happened. That's heavy, throw Star Lord a bone.

I assume her soul is probably trapped the way the others are too given it's what unlocks the stone, ash death or not.

Thor has it worse....his bro screws him, his mom gets killed by an elf, then his dad dies, after admitting there isn’t a hidden sister, who Thor has to kill. Then he watches his best friend and Loki, plus half of the people he isn’t responsible for, die in front of him....sure he’s tougher, being a higher ‘god’ now(all-father, Odin powers etc)
Just cos Thor had a few more movies than Quill, for this to happen.......

The true, permanent deaths are gonna be whoever yields the stones when they steal them back and make the guantlet and reverse it.

Notice when Thor goes to forge stormbreaker...there's a mold of the gauntlet still there. Wellllll remake it, put it on someone worthy (Looking at you Cap) and snap those people back to life.

A line of Banner assuming and querying what the audience was supposed to, would be enough.

Like he line ‘you and me need to sort a few things out buddy. You can’t hide cos you lose one time’ would have been enough.

Just got out of seeing this, and it was awesome. It was great seeing Red Skull again. Perhaps he can return in a future Captain America movie. I am curious to see the one event that lead to a victory in defeating Thanos that Doctor Strange saw. Definitely a sweet trick by letting Thanos think he actually won.

Didn’t Red Skull say he was bound forever to be there? He didn’t have any legs from what I seen.

If they reverse it none of these events happen, right? I don’t think a single person who died in this is dead. The actual, permanent deaths, will be the ones who die fixing it. Or that’s what I’m hoping for.

All the deaths can be undone Thanos undid Visions death and he was blown up. All they have to do is go back in time.

He might have, probably did, but tha stone may have been the thing keeping him there as the guardian. He may have been freed when Thanos took it. Then however Stark, Rocket, Shuri and whoever else finds a way to undo what Thanos did, I would imagine they would try to find a way to destroy the soul stone.

Exactly. The ones who die will be the ones fixing it. Something will make it so they can’t bring back whoever snaps the gauntlet again.

Wanda can clearly destroy the stones all the have to do is bring everyone back and then have Wanda do her thing. She destroyed the stone in visions head but Thanos reversed time and bring him back.
