Jeff is a scooper. People seem to forget that cause Jeff is one of the more well known in that movie circle. But at the end of the day, Jeff is a scooper. Meaning, he knows stuff more than we do. Doesn't mean they are always right, nor are they trying to clickbait you per se like some do.

Zaslav wants to focus on big IP movies but that IP better not include Looney Tunes!

John Malone, the shrewd and far-sighted media mogul and key ally of David Zaslav, has decided not to stand for re-election to Warner Bros. Discovery‘s board of directors. He will instead transition to the role of chair emeritus when his term expires this year.

In a release announcing Malone’s move, the company said that he will continue to regularly attend board meetings, as well as offer “strategic counsel.” He will be less involved, however, in the day-to-day oversight of the business.

Malone backed Zaslav, the Warner Bros. Discovery CEO, in his bold 2021 move to merge Discovery with WarnerMedia. Malone was a major stakeholder in the cable company, which maneuvered to join forces with the far-larger WarnerMedia after AT&T sought to disentangle itself from Hollywood following its short ownership of the film and television studio.

WB Games division of Warner Discovery, if you're going to offer disc format for your video games like HogLeg for PS5 or XBox Series XS, please put the entire game onto the disc instead of shortchanging the customer who might buy the disc and then it doesn't even work when inserted while offline, with this nonsense of needing to use the disc like a KEY in order to download the digital only video game.

Ubisoft started that nonsense too. I refuse to buy these games till they're half price or less, and then only digitally since the disc is a useless key. What a terrible disservice to disc gamers who might not have access to faster internet and bought the disc version hoping it could load onto the console that way.

And please get Rocksteady to make an open world Superman game. No more of this multiplayer Suicide Squad game that tanked.

On the topic of movies, looking forward to The Batman, and Superman 2025.

OT, but, you might be a bit upset by the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2

This new Warner Bros/Discovery seem much more selective about what films they make. They even seem to have abandoned The Day the Earth Blew Up with Daffy and Porky, a good movie distributed by Ketchup Films instead.

I heard about that too. I think it's only for games listed as KEY games, as they said other games will include the full game. I'm not a Nintendo gamer (other than NES and SuperNES), but a lot of upset fans at that and the 79.99 price tag for Nintendo brand games. That's a ridiculous price for a video game IMO. I rather just wait till a game is on sale.

If both Superman and One Battle After Another are hits, Pam and Mike will have staged one of the greatest comebacks for Hollywood executives.

Want to Buy Village Roadshow’s Stake in ‘The Matrix’? It’ll Cost At Least $417.5M
A bankruptcy court has set a baseline figure, which came from 'Blade Runner 2049' coproducer Alcon Media Group, for the price of Village Roadshow's library of 108 films.
