Finally thought to check here to find out if there was any reason an online only offer wasn't working online...
Target sucks...
I'll just wait for the B2G1 sale...

I've knocked 6 titles off my wish list -- and a few additions -- by buying them price-matched at Amazon. Waiting, wishing, and hoping they'll be in stock and priced right with 2 other titles when the next B2G1 comes along is no longer gonna cut it.

I typically only do the B2G1 when it's higher priced items.

So does amazon's store card, only it's in the form of rewards so you don't get it off at the time of purchase. Same difference though, unless you never plan on shopping there again. Target's shipping has been exceedingly slow for us ever since BF. Actually, it might be less their shipping perse than their order processing.

Apparently amazon doesn't know that target's deal is completely broken, lest they'd have pulled theirs already, just like they always remove items from their b2g1 promo when target sells out online. Of course there's so relatively few titles that the coupon applies with, it's probably going unnoticed by most. It's ironic, considering it's amazon's price matching that's usually all but useless relative targets b2g1 promos.

I will usually try to support Target and Best Buy over Amazon, on balance when prices are the same or I can price match.

Red Card often pushes me to Target. The 5%, along with free shipping (Doesn't bother me that they take longer) makes it my first choice most of the time.

Amazon is convenient, too, but given the lack of sales, it's concerning what will happen once Target and Best Buy cut down and/or eliminate more of its physical media catalog.

Maybe it's inevitable that Amazon is all that's left in terms of a large retailer carrying a deep catalog in the future, but until then, I like supporting the competitors who make Amazon lower its prices.

The coupon is now gone and the set is sold out unless you want to buy from the scalpers.

I'm not sure if it rings up the same price in store but I just noticed Wrath of Man is on sale online for $10 before the 20% off. Can't remember if it was down the $7.99 or $9.99 for BF. Not bad if you missed it then and can find a store that has it available for pick-up.

I paid $9.99 ($10.69 after tax) at Best Buy. Just ordered it for instore pickup at Target.com for $8 total since I had Target Circle cash to spend & I hadn’t opened BB copy so it’s going back.

Just got shipping notices for Pirates OTC 4k (15.79) and Black Friday blu (17.84). I can deal with some uncertainty with pre-orders if I'm getting these films for these prices shipped

Just a hu, The reviews are pretty bad for the new Pirate OTC. Even at that price you are probably better off with the Blu-ray

Cripes. Looks like my just shipped copy will be going back ASAP. I wonder if this means that the other films in the series won't get a physical release (due to poor sales for this one). Out of all of the POTC films, Disney really needed to get this first one right. They continue to be a major disappointment when it comes to the quality of their 4K transfers. This has all the makings of their worst one yet. They have to know that in the majority of instances they're not crafting / releasing quality 4K transfers, but maddeningly continue to churn out garbage without hiring new people to fix their already damaged reputation. Fools...

Odd, My POTC 4K has shipped to me, but with the reviews I planned on returning it. I went ahead and started the returns process for it, but it tells me "No Need to Return This Item" for some reason.

This happened to me last year at this time. They told me no need to return first and then the refund came through. I can't remember if I requested a return or not. Come to think of it, I must have. That's how I found out I didn't need to return the items. So, look for that refund to hit.

Picked up Wrath Of Man for $8.48 after taxes and 20% off target circle.

No copies of The French Dispatch on bd or DVD. Wal-Mart didn't have it either. Is there a shortage on this title?

I had the same run around with Target. I asked the customer service rep how is it possible for Target to offer and post a 20% off on an item that is only available to ship? If promotion doesn’t apply to shipped items. No store in America carries these boutique titles. I went back and fourth to get 20% and use my target circle earnings. Horrible service at Target customer service center. The problem with Target is they offer promotions with exclusions but don’t advertise them correctly. No preorders or new releases but some apply some don’t.

Well said.

I also like buying from Bullmoose and DeepDiscount.

Let’s not put our faith in just one mega retailer.

Also Hamilton Book’s great retailer well packaged products. I try to support all the retailers but some of them make it hard to do business with them. We as collectors have to remember Amazon is just matching the sales from other retailers once there gone no more sales. Amazon does this to take over the market and put smaller retailers out of the market.

Yes their CS is lacking in so many ways. That is why it is always YMMV.
