BEWARE: LOST Blu-ray cases - Blu-ray Forum

So I got home and opened my LOST Seasons 1 +2 that I got for $38.99 each at Best Buy today. I opened them and the cases on both of them are broke in the same spot. SUCKS. All the discs were loose and flying around. Kinda think they could do a better job with the set cases. The last 2 they had too. SUCKS.

BEWARE: If you go to buy it and it sounds like a maraca, guess what it's not ads sliding around or anything on these, the case is broke

This scares me because I ordered them from amazon.com and they haven't arrived yet.

Whoa... looking at the hinge, are these cases narrower than seasons 3 & 4? Do they have thinner spines?

Mine were PERFECT from Amazon. I just CAN'T watch them now. Every year I rewatch the entire series to prepare for the next season so I've gotta wait until Nov-Dec. to start! I only wish season 3 matched the rest.

You start over every season from the series premire and watch each season?

That's pretty damn impressive. Quite a time commitment there. 42 mins an episode * roughly 25 episodes for S1, 2, and 3. Wasn't 4 shortened to 16 episodes due to strike? Same with S5?

Either way, 100 episodes, give or take, is like 75 hours.

I always shake DVD's and Blus before I buy them. If they're the last ones, I'll usually ask the clerk if we can open them up to see if the discs are fine. I tell them that if the discs are fine then I'll buy it. Recently did this and it was just a paper insert that I heard.

Unfortunately, some stores won't let you do this. The only store that gave me any trouble was Wal-Mart. They said I'd have to buy it first, then return it if the discs were scratched.

I just called Best Buy. I have 2 in my town. Hopefully they have some that are not broke before I go.

Too many disc being held in this case with this weird case they have. Not like the Season 3 and 4 I have.

The SAME EXACT thing happened to me!! I just opened my case for the first time and all the disc fell out. WTF!!??

I always shake by blus, dvds, cds, before purchasing. People give you funny looks

, cause you gotta hold them by your ear b/c of the noise level in most BBs, but it's better than broken cases.
