I learned my lesson quite some time ago and I never even went into the actual forums. Looking up who an actor was or some bit of info about this or that film I would sometimes scroll to the very bottom where they usually show 4-6 threads/posts. I quickly learned just how ridiculous some people are with their film opinions and the exaggerations and hyperbole that gets thrown around.

You know it's bad when they announce a release date before the script is even finished (or started for that matter). This happens all too often these days, and I personally believe it accounts (partly) for a lack of quality in film today.

One thing J.J. Abrahms said was that it was great of Disney to allow them to film the movie (Episode 7) before announcing a release date, so it's not rushed.

That being said I will still see JW2 opening night, no matter what, so they have my money regardless. The difference is, will I see it more than once and will I buy it on BD? That is determined by how good it will actually be.

There's nothing wrong with disliking a film and neither is there anything wrong with voicing that opinion. My point is that those who dislike it have a tendency to put down those that enjoyed it, insinuating that anybody who liked Jurassic World is an idiot who will devour any bullshit Hollywood chugs out. It's a ridiculous way of thinking. I hated Man of Steel but I'm not going to condescend those who liked it. Obviously they saw something in it that I didn't and good for them.

I don't think I ever intended to put anyone down, but when I think a movie is poorly written, super stupid and devoid of meaning and I say that, I guess it could come across as saying anyone who enjoys it is stupid. Art has a long history of dividing people in such ways, and there are many who consider movie fans in general lower class while they sip sherry and read Dickens.

Just remember that even though I might call a movie you like "super stupid" I have shit like Forbidden World and Contamination in my collection, because I am an 80's sci-fi fanboy. It don't get stupider than that stuff. We all have our weird tastes and movies we turn our brains off for, I understand that. That's just not what I personally wanted from Jurassic World, and also I hate modern CGI so that surely made it worse.
