Day 1 dip..especially with that artwork.
I've been obsessed with this film since a kid sneaking a viewing of it on late night television. I still have my vhs, my workprint vhs, region 1 and region 2 dvd, and 2 blu ray copies... the definition of obsession. lol

The sets, costumes, music...love it.

Yeah, the J-Card is completely wrong. The giveaway, is the language options. They mirror the German disc, plus the original release had PCM audio, not DTS-HD-MA.

Starship Troopers and Close Encounters both dropped to $20.99 10 days before release, while Kwai and Dracula are both still $24.99, a week before release. Are they likely to drop to $20.99 by release date? I would want to cancel my pre-orders in time if they don't.

Going back to framing, I prefer the old one, to be honest. I don't know which one is the correct, but I just prefer this film having a bit more headroom. Main reason I keep the old disc.
