I used Brickseek more than 5 times each year for the past 3 years in an attempt to find location specific Target product inventory, pricing, and clearance items. Each and every time I relied on that, I went home with absolutely nothing except a car with an empty gas tank. Useless for me to even look because the inventory and price tracker is just wrong. Wrong every time except once which could have been coincidence only. Now I simply wait for others here to post about their experiences. Even when I am near a Target and blindly walk all the way into the back to spot check movies, I always walk away with nothing but a wasted trip again. Done with that too. I am far better off staying strictly to Target B2G1 sales when factoring in my wasted time and travel expenses that go for naught. I am not really done with Target, but definitely done with Brickseek. Similar experience using Brickseek with other retailers various products, but I won't drag on about that here.

Why not just check store inventory on Target.com?

This isnt always accurate either. Ive used it on Animal House 4k steelbook. 2 locations showed in stock. Went in store. No shelf spot for it and whne they typed it in in store they couldnt find it either.

Basically I've decided for media that if it doesn't specifically all In-store pickup on the inventory, I just assume it's not there. This got substantially worse when they brought in the Subcontractor Stocker to handle the Media section a few years ago (like WM and BBY used to use Anderson, I think Ingram is/was doing Target)

For non Media it's a little better, but I was there yesterday looking for a nonmedia item that said had 3 Units for sale. I looked and had a clerk look and we only found one with the correct SKU. The section was a mess so the other two could have been 6 aisles over in a different department or a pair of shoes in the Auto dept or plant food in the Womens Clothing section.

I'm not sure how Target Best Buy and Walmart keep inventory but Amazon just decided to collect sales taxes open warehouses in distressed areas like Riverside and Stockton in California.

That way they can ship the item to you fairly quickly. Catalog blurays or CDs they may keep one or two in stock and if sold out have the third party [like import cd or deep discount] fill the void until Amazon can restock.

Buy your own trucks and do delivery where it makes sense like Los Angeles and you get products to the consumer ASAP.

Also use UPS/Fed Ex/USPS when it makes sense.

In middle America open warehouses in hubs where they can reach the most states fast.

The wait time for Target/Best Buy/Walmart is what makes Amazon #1.

One thing they ALL need to fix is their search engines. It's easier sometimes just to put the product into Google and see who has what and at what price.

Speed of shipping pretty meaningless to me esp since it costs $120+/year to participate in free fast shipping (not so free) -- it's not going to spoil if it takes a few extra days and since so much Amazon product is delayed anyway, BBY and Target often show up faster anyway. BBY Elite/Elite Plus (met with BBY CC without even having to buy a single BBY product) and Target Red Card are basically free free shipping options

Safety of shipping is a big issue for me, but has become meaningless to all of the big boys. Target being the worst of the 4. For special items that require extra care -- I'll pay a bit more for Bullmoose, Diabolik or when possible pickup in store at BBY

No Post-purchase price guarantee -- I avoid unless absolute necessity so Amazon is out, Walmart and Target have a 60-90 days window (directly or indirectly), BBY 45 days. Since all Amazon does is PM the others anyway then might as well order from them and have a couple months of no Buyers Remorse.

The $12.99 bluray steelbooks of Creed 2, Rampage and Rocketman that have been seen in stores are available to order on Target's website. I got Rampage and Rocketman. Cancelled my preorder of Pretty in Pink steelbook and got that as well to give me free shipping.

FYI, I saw copies of Indiana Jones I’m the back, but zero in 4K. We could get them in before release day, but the 4K isn’t in the ad so I’m guessing we aren’t carrying it.

My friend and I were just talking about this. He feels Amazon really packages poorly and had many damaged Wings Over America boxes. He's willing to pay a bit more for packaging. He liked Import CD

Which unless I'm mistaken is the ALLIANCE Warehouse out of Kentucky who ships most B&N, Some BBY, some Walmart, and all Deep Discount/Criterion.com/Blowitoutahere/FYE/TCM/etc and 90% of most other online stores

Bullmoose, Grindhouse, Diabolik, Kino, Zia still ship their own. I'm sure a few more of the regional and niche stores do as well. I think my last Shout package came out of ALLIANCE

I keep waiting for Bill & Ted to go under $10. My store has about 20 copies collecting dust.

Any chance we will see a $10 movie sale for Father's Day again? I can't remember if they did one last year, but in previous years, they were a great way to get some titles before BF.

They had a B2G1 Free sale from June 14-21 last year. I ordered 25 movies in that span (5 orders)
