I have Forbidden Kingdom & look forward to watching it also, especially with hearing that the LFE is really good. Wait til' you see the T2 Skynet Edition; It's a great Audio track & killer LFE buddy.

Default "Flight of the Phoenix" - Wow!!

Ok, well I finished this about 7:44pm tonite & holy crap, Stunning LFE & all-around Great Audio track. Some intense heavy Bottom-End, nice Low Rumblings with the planes engines & thru a few explosions & just thru-out the movie as well. This one has to be added to the movies with Great LFE list. The opening 16 minutes with the sand storm & forced crash landing are Intense! My volume for the movie was mostly set at -18, which was Plenty. A few times I turned it up for some dialogue, but overall, a great track.

A good sub for me.
That very reason makes the PA 120 a good sub for everyone. Having full and detailed bass at low to mid volume levels is one of the benchmarks of a good sub. When you do crank it up while watching, say War of the Worlds (during the daytime), you'll powerfull yet full and detailed bass at higher listening levels.

It's also an excellent sub for classical music too. When the orchestra plays very soft (pianissimo) like in the Third movement: Scherzo Allegro, of Beethoven's Symphony No.5, you can plainly hear every bass note's subtle detail first in the cellos and then in the double basses. That goes without saying that the famous four opening bars of the First movement as well as throughout the finale, the double basses sound magnificently full, massive, powerful and triumphant through the PA 120s.

Dude, I was gonna say that Exact same thing!!!!!!!!

Seriously, I haven't listened to Classical in years, but for a while I was VERY into it. With my system now, I'm sure it would sound like I've never heard it before.

Yea, that's what I'm into when I can. I don't like much "mellow" type stuff, some, not a lot. Usually some very Active type Symphonic/Classical music. Stuff that would really show off my 2 Subs & the rest of my system overall.

Ahh, okay - Great Audio track on that Skynet version. IF/When you get a chance, Crank it. They did a great job with that.

I posted some pictures of the new sub in my gallery - they're not great shots, but I wanted to get something up quickly. Check em out when you can and let me know what you think!

Side note: I can't get over how awesome this sub is.

Very cool to hear. What movie(s) have you tested with it so far? Do you plan to build a DIY Riser yourself of any sort for it, or buy a SubDude maybe? Nice set-up, very clean looking.

I've watched War of the Worlds, The Book of Eli, and Spiderman. Those are the only ones I've watched in their entirety so far, but I've demo'd various scenes from Watchmen, Quantum of Solace, and Transformers.

I hadn't thought about a riser yet, and since I'm still on a carpeted floor, I didn't think it was a necessity right away. But I really like the idea of that SubDude one you linked. I'm actually moving into a condo soon with hardwood floors, so I know I've gotta start thinking of ways to keep the bass clean. Thanks for the suggestion!

Yea a Riser (DIY, or SubDude) will prob. help with keeping Any vibrations off the floor to avoid annoying any neighbors ().

Thumbs up

OK, add another one to the "club"!

Just got this delivered this afternoon and set up this evening.

Purchased via ebay from "AcousticSoundDesign". Went smooth as silk as the seller shipped within' about 24 hours.

This replaced a 15 year old 12", 250 watt Klipsch that the amp died on.
I went with the cherry finish to try and match the walnut on my main Klipsch Forte's and Academy center. Fit and finish on this thing is amazing for a "budget" sub. Looks like a much more expensive piece of equipment.

Ran the Audyssey set up and gave it a spin. The thing sounds amazing! Silky smooth and tight bass. It blends in perfectly with the rest of my Klipsch set up.

I couldn't be any more satisfied with the purchase. At the price it's a verifiable steal!
