Did they do actual character posters for Kick-Ass, did you see them at your theater? I know they made a few different banners of each character, I have a set, they are gigantic. They also made a really cool banner of all the characters up on the roof looking at their backs, I have a few of those new in the box but I have still not seen the film.

Yeah they made the character posters. I was able to get Big Daddy. I don't think I have seen the banner but it has been a while since the movie came out.

Come to think of it, yeah they did do a character poster for I believe each of the four main characters, and they also did a horizontal vinyl banner of the group. I still have some new in the boxes, below is an image. Thick vinyl, I believe they are about eight to ten feet long.

Mondo will be releasing a series of prints inspired by the upcoming Captain America film due this Friday in theaters. There will be two prints by artist Tyler Stout (a standard edition and a silver variant), a two-print set by artist Eric Tan, and a two-print set by Olly Moss. When they go on sale, which will be a random time according to Mondo, they will all sell out in seconds, as they usually do. Here are images and more detailed info....

I wouldn't say 'horror' so much as im more of a fan of zombie and vampire flicks, but I can't deny the cult status of that movie and I do and try and cover a range of movies... This one is on the list.

I shall be purchasing the Tyler Stout Captain America print. I think I like the variant better, but if I don't manage to snag it during Mondo or Tyler's drop, I'll go with the regular if the resale price is drastically higher on the variant.

Good luck to you on the Mondo drop, it is a pretty cool looking print. I will try, with my schedule permitting, they never drop at a good time for me.

Hey guys, I just want to thank Kinsella5 for sending me an excellent condition Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part: 2 Final style poster. It was really protected and he shipped it out very quick. Plus if any other movie poster place sells this particular poster, it's gonna be really expensive. There are always tricks to every trade.....best advice I can give people hoping to get one when they first drop from Mondo is don't rely on Paypal. By the time you log into your account, etc, they will be sold out, and remember once it is in your cart, that doesn't guarantee one for you. One thing to do is have your credit card number and then cut and paste it in the box, eliminating the need to type it out which saves crucial seconds....

Yea I don't expect to be lucky enough to get one from either, although I did manage to get a Stout SW set from Mondo, and both a Let The Right One In (with help from owning the Lebowski Print) and a Kill Bill from Stout, but I'll sure as hell try.

I'd guess resale prices on these won't be nearly as high as they were for Kill Bill

You have just a good enough chance that anyone else, Captain America will probably be just as big as Kill Bill but even Kill Bill prices have come down a bit, but over time, anything Tyler does seems to increase in value, and rightly so as they are beautiful works of art. One he did for The Thing recently toppled $2K on eBay, even the Robocop metal he did fetched close to $2K as well. But those both had very small print runs compared to KB and CA had or will have.

I really really wanted a kill bill, just can't see me forking out $400+ for one, I really liked the variant too!

I think I may get my kill bill fix with either a British quad of the first film or an laartwork piece... we'll see, I don't have anywhere to hang the darn thing right now, I really should be working on my theatre not buying more posters

Mondo's Re-Animator by Alex Pardee arrived yesterday. I'm almost at the point where my only "must have" poster is Stout's The Thing. And I've come to grips with the fact I'll never ever ever own one.

...when did the Re-Animator print sell? That's a great one.

I just framed my Thor and Hellboy II Mondo posters. I have to put them on the wall though.

I have those and then the Scott Pilgrim poster. I have both Tyler Stout Iron Man II posters (regular and variant). I would LOVE that poster for The Thing as well, but at the top of my wishlist is his Big Trouble in Little China poster...which I've also come to grips with the fact that I'll never ever ever own one of...

Yeah The Thing doesn't pop up for sale very often, and with the last one fetching over $2000, I don't see prices coming down. There is a huge following for that film, and that print, and with only 210 standards out there, and fewer variants, most people don't want to part with them. I too want one, so I know your pain.
