One thing Halloween 5 has that the other sequels don’t is Michael playing with his victim like in the original when he puts on a sheet and Bob’s glasses. Halloween 5 is the only other film that retains this.

I'm wondering why they cut it off at 5. Usually they only do 2 and 3 too with the exception of the boxset, so I'm also confused about the release of 1, 4 and 5. I'll take them though. I wonder if we can expect them to all come in Dolby Vision like I think all of their UHD releases have had so far. Pretty excited.

-Halloween 1, 4, and 5 are owned by Trancas International with Lionsgate handling distribution -Halloween II, III, Halloween 2011, Halloween Kills, and Halloween Ends are owned by Universal -Halloween 6, H20, and Resurrection are owned by Miramax/Paramount -Rob Zombie's Halloween 1 and 2 are owned by The Weinstein Company/Lantern (with latter film being handled on home video by Sony) As for the artwork, I dig it. I was expecting the original artwork though, but this is a very nice surprise. |

If for whatever reason Scream wasn't able to convince Lionsgate to sublicense them, there's your idea for Lionsgate's October 4K releases. ![]() |

I always had a soft spot for part 5 myself. I remember watching 4 and 5 back-to-back for the first time on cable one Halloween in the late 90s and I really enjoyed 5 more than 4. Took a few more years before Anchor Bay finally released the DVDs and I was able to give the movies the attention they deserve.
