Are you saying that for his political stance?

Not really, but he somehow appears to be a bit too self absorbed to me.

I've never noticed it and I've seen them in concert several times. The only thing I can think of that is annoying is that a few times he would talk about his hatred of the Bush Administration, during the show. I've even spoken to him before and he seemed like a straight-up dude. He does a lot for charity as well. But I certainly am not trying to change your opinion of him, just my two cents.

I do!! Sorry man, but Power Metal kicks some ass here and there. I have it on a split Italian press with Villain. Hard to find, but not as hard by itself that's not a boot.

I have a few albums of his. You know I like Star One. Ayeron has some great stuff but sometimes I find them a little bit overblown. One of those "mood" groups if you know what I mean.

I hear you, but I recall reading an interview he did back in 2000 or around that time. The reporter was kind of asking him about his views on some of the top bands at the time or something. His respond was basically something along the line like, "I don't listen to anyone else or care about what everyone else does. I only care about what we Queensrÿche do." or something in that nature. Either way, I couldn't tell if he was making a joke or not, but he sure sounded to me like he is an egocentric SOB.

Right now I'm kind of in a Grave Digger mood. Been listening to them pretty much exclusive for the last couple of days. I'm spinning "Ballads of a Hangman" right now but I think "The Last Supper" is better.

And Excalibur is better than both.

The point of this thread is discussing/discovering all kinds of metal. I'll give anything a listen first before I trash or become a fanboy of it lol

anyone check out Old Man's Child new CD: Slaves of the World? Heard a few tunes..thought it was ok. Wondering if I should pick it up.

I agree on trying different music, five years ago, I wouldn't give Lamb of God a chance, now, I thoroughly enjoy their releases, although I still don't like their Burn The Priest material. Old Man's Child is OK to begin with so I never really am excited to hear their new records.

Old Man's Child's early stuff was better I thought. Their split with Dimmu Borgir way back when was outstanding. Galder is definately an excellent songwriter but I heard the new one took a lazier approach and sounded much like the latest Dimmu. I have all of the other OMC's so I'll probably get this one as well.

I ran across this awsome song a couple of weeks ago, this band changed the lead singer and they now suck, but this is great give it a listen...
