I'd reckon that the first two films will be at least Region A+B on the UK set.

Would be more cost effective than pressing sepereate Region B locked and Region A locked discs for House 1 & 2.

This is what I would assume as well. History would also support this idea though there have been rare examples where it wasn't the case and why I felt the need to ask the question. I'd prefer to snag all 4 films in one shot, especially if the price difference is minimal for 2 additional films. However since I'm primarily interested in just the first 2 (with the later 2 being bonus films... or Icing on the cake if you will) I want to ensure that those are in fact Region A friendly so they can be played across any player I want.

I ended up pre-ordering the UK set. It was only like $10 more with the Arrow points I had in my account, so it just made a lot more sense to go that route. Plus, I debated picking up the Scream Factory disc of The Horror Show for years, so I'm glad I held off so long! I haven't seen any of the films past part 1, so it'll be a fun marathon come March.

Also, thank you Arrow for re-releasing Hellgate. I'll be buying the shit out of that before I turn my back on horror again.

Great to see some love for House II: The Second Story. How can you not love a movie that finds lead character Jesse having a meal with his new family that consists of his recently unearthed great great grandpa Gramps, an Aztec virgin, a baby pterodactyl, a prehistoric caterpuppy, and his best friend Charlie. House II is very underrated.

For me, House IV is the completist freebie.

I've been aiming to get Scream Factory's The Horror Show disc, but Arrow's House III disc sounds superior in every imaginable way.

That and good remasters of the first two is a big bonus too.

I really want to get the U.K. set but I'm not region free. How much does a decent region free player go for? Something that's comparable to the PS4

Surprisingly easily, as it happens.

I watched it when it was originally released on video and hated it. I suspect that the passage of time will not have altered that opinion if I revisit the thing.

What are you into now? Czechoslovakian art films about goat farmers?

Neat. Never saw 3 or 4 but will get the UK set anyway for the book and Lance Henriksen. Arrow kicking ass lately.

IMO, yes.

They're the one company I do not buy releases blindly from.

Guess you haven't had much experience with Raro, Severin, BU, Scream, VCI, Full Moon, Film Detective, 101, Second Sight, Studio Canal or Troma then.
