I'll probably end up getting this at some point as I don't have 300 on BD. However, I find it interesting that this double-dip adds nothing to the BD. The new content appears to be a comic book and some other related crapola.

Is this the beginning of a trend to issue double/triple/more dips where they add additional content to the movie case (phamplets etc) but nothing to the movie itself?

Digi's tend to hit $15 after a while(ex. Matrix) So I'll get this when the price is right.

didn't pick up the movie..... I guess I don't see the big deal of it.... pretty poor acting (in my opinion) and loose storyline... I may pick up the old release when people start flooding the trade forum with theirs.

I won't pick up unti it drop $20, is not worth $27 even it has extra, because is a digitbook, no actualy case and this movie came out blu-ray like 2 years ago, if this is a new movie that should be a good sales, why only old movie get digibook, is beyong me.

I'm happy with the original release. There's nothing here that makes me want to upgrade.

Unless the TrueHD is a new remix, I'll sit this one out.

Ok, I'll give you the acting...no one in 300 will win a competition with Wells or Olivier. But the story was pretty tight, documenting the warrior state that was Sparta, the looming threat of Persia and using the subplot of the outcast hunchback and corrupt politicians who prove to aid Xerxes in the downfall of Leonides. The stylized Milleresque visuals (like 'em or not) were cohesive throughout.

Why would that stop you from getting the MOVIE? Just make your own case.

Plenty of people don't. But why a case would stop someone from enjoying a movie he/she likes makes no sense to me.

Yup... I like the look of digibooks because it makes the movie more memorable, and it stands out from the rest of the movies.
